Great place for walking but I would like to see some garbage bins along the path

Beatiful spot by the water. Kayak rental is quite affordable, but I recommend calling in advance to make a reservation just to be safe.

Big park located on shawinigan QC. The shawinigan falls are definitely one place that you have to visit. There are also camping grounds, kayak and lots of trails. The river is beautiful and peaceful.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Quebec. Nothing really in the town worth checking out, but the campground was wonderful. Not many other campers there so it was nice and quiet. A great spot for a quiet nights sleep! We had a spot right on the river, and enjoyed sitting outside watching and feeding the ducks. The woman in the office who checked us in was very friendly and spoke very good English. We are from the US and speak a little French. If you visit Quebec and don't speak French, please try and learn a few basic words, such as merci and bonjour, it will go a long way toward spreading kindness! Campground was very clean, river very scenic.

Great place to be on the shore of the Saint-Maurice river. Wifi was not working on the campground but cellular coverage is very good. Full hook up sites with 30amps working for air conditioning when campground is almost full.

We rented the small motorboat for a day to see Shawinigan from the river. You can easily make it to the other end at Rapides des Hêtres and park the boat for a picnic in the shadow and swim. Didn’t see any public beaches nor toilets so be prepared. Fishing ? didn’t end with any catch however it was +30C in the afternoon so not surprised. Price to rent the boat a full day is $120 and half day $70 so maybe 4 hours is enough if you aren’t swimming in the river. A boat license is recommended however they can provide a daily disclaimer contract where you take full responsibility for any accident. Not recommended if you don’t know how to manoeuvre a boat since there is traffic especially on weekends. Great day out for the family and

I visit various urban parks regularly. This one does not compare with the ones I'm use to. Some of the hiking tracks are located directly by the busy road which are noisy and makes the trek stressful. There are pretty areas with attractions that make this park worth visiting.
