The parking lot is the subject of archaeological excavations. Lots of snow on the trails.

Nice little park well maintained. There are toilets and a water fountain. Beautiful trails and picnic tables :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visite en hiver. Les sentiers ne sont malheureusement pas balisés et l'un des escaliers qui débouche sur la côte de Cap Rouge n'est pas entretenu. Beau parc mais peu accessible en hiver.
Visit in winter. The trails are unfortunately not marked and one of the stairs leading to the coast of Cap Rouge is not maintained. Beautiful park but not very accessible in winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parc en développement. Appelé aussi Chantier archéologique Cartier-Roberval. Bel hommage au pionnier Louis-Oscar Riel. Une petite chorale y faisait une pratique.
Developing park. Also called Cartier-Roberval archaeological site. A fine tribute to the pioneer Louis-Oscar Riel. A small choir was practicing there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the history, another place Jacques Cartier stayed in the 1530's. I went there because of the historical aspect but a very nice park in its own right. It gives you a sense of what the area around Quebec was like in the past. Not far from the city centre and lots of area to walk around in, to stretch your legs. Very close to the railway bridge also, another site worth seeing. There's an observation tower down by the river also.
