Paramount Painting

Three weeks ago I contacted Jed and I requested a quote to do our entire house before we moved in. Jed provided a quote without asking for any additional information about the job. That should have been a red flag. We agreed to services over a week and a half ago set up a start date of 8am on Saturday Sept 10th. Jed checked in with me at 6:12 pm today to make sure we were ok for the 8am start. I texted back saying we were good to go. Jed then asked a few questions about the paint colour, contents of the house and when he thought that we would have stuff in the house, he suggested that we'd need to renegotiate the price. Then Jed asked about the ceiling, I told him it was textured. His response was "Wow ceiling are textured you should have told me that" I'm assuming if it was an issue he would clarified it upfront, before offering a quote and committing to a job. He then said "That makes a big difference in the price ""They would have to be sprayed" again, assuming it was an issue he would clarified it upfront, before offering a quote and committing to a job. Finally he said"Maybe you should get some one else. I don't don't do textured ceilings" so again if he didn't do these types of ceilings, wouldn't it be logical to assume that you would want to know what type of ceilings they would before making a commitment to take on the job ? So if you are looking for a painter that doesn't follow through on commitments, doesn't take the time to truly understand the job before giving a quote and backs out last minute, then look no further, Jed at Paramount Painting is your guy !!

Wow! We moved into our new home which was in need of a lot of TLC - from popcorn ceiling to baseboards and outside siding and garage doors Jed transformed our home into a stunning environment! Jed is a professional. That means you get a guy with proper insurance (both liability and WSIB) who is registered to collect HST. And of utmost importance, he knows how to paint! After consulting with him on paint colours, I gave him the keys to an empty condo requesting he paint pretty much the entire thing, other than ceilings. I walked into the condo three days later when he let me know he was finished. The only thing different was the colour of the walls. That means he cleaned up after himself. The paint job is first-rate, and I’m so pleased with the fresh look. I obtained a few quotes with Jed’s being in the middle, and while opinions on pricing are somewhat subjective, I feel I got great value for my money. Thanks Jed!

Jed at Paramount (1-man show at present) painted the wood siding on our home. It was overdue for a paint job, and Jed worked the scraping, washing, caulking, and re-nailing of the old boards into his original quote. His pricing was fair and accurate and he did a terrific job. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to get quality work done at a reasonable price. We'll definitely be going back to him for any future paint jobs we need.

Several years ago Jed painted the outside of our house. His pricing was fair and he did all of the work at exactly the times he said he would. And, the house looked beautiful! So, when we recently needed rooms inside our house painted, we did not hesitate to call him. Again, he completed all of the work on schedule and the results are remarkable. He was incredibly neat and precise, and we absolutely love how the rooms turned out! I should mention that we were out of town while he completed the work, but Jed proved to be incredibly trustworthy. I recommend him whole heartedly.

Jed was quick to respond to my request for an estimate. He showed up on time every day and did exactly what I wanted done. The results are amazing. He made this 1979 house look new again. The invoice was fair and affordable. Jed is personable and professional, keeps a tidy work site, has great work ethic. I would recommend him in a heart beat.

I had a great experience with Jed at Paramount Painting. I needed an entire 3 bedroom home repainted quickly between tenants and I'm so glad I found Paramount.
