The place is great and kept clean and freindly staff! But they don't teach you the basics of how to ride a horse and dont teach how to jump! all they say is to keep heels down and thats about it! Also the horses outside pen where 10 horses can stay at a time is filthy! its not very clean there but either than that its a good place!

Great place to board a horse, or learn to ride. There are TONS of opportunities across various disciplines both english and western and they take very good care of all the horses. Safe, well trained lesson horses and awesome facility. Non competitive environment with great people.

We just wrapped up a year of lessons and week of AMAZING summer camp at Paints-Plus. My daughter absolutely loves riding here. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to ride without a lot of pressure. It has a very laid back, welcoming atmosphere.

Facility is dirty and provides inadequate care for their horses. This program is not up to industry standard.

Had a horse boarded here while he was leased out to one of their adult beginner riders. The pens are extremely over crowded with horses and therefore over crowded with manure. But that isn't even my biggest problem, while my horse was out on the "pasture" for the summer, they had roundbales penned off with temporary panels, secured with nothing but twine (which we use to tie our horses because it easily breaks). Obviously horses on poor quality pasture are going to try to get to food, my horse ended up crammed into this space between the bales and barbed wire fence and had to be cut free. He suffered from severe cuts down the entirety of the right side of his body, which caused scarring. Neither myself, nor my leasor where notified of this severe injury until the next day, my horse was also put back in with the herd and not into a private pen (probably because they don't have any due to the overcrowing). As soon as my leasor got out to check on my horse she saw how horrific this was and how much pain he was in and sent me pictures. I picked up my horse that evening to bring him back home, when I got there to pick him up no one could tell me if any first aid had been administered to my horse. No one knew if he had been given any bute, antibiotics or anything else in the over 24 hours since it happened. Upon contacting Lisa, the owner, I was given a list of excuses, and that the people who where in charge "did their best". My horse needed daily cleaning and care for his injuries, including pain management and antibiotics for 14 days. I wasn't offered any apology or compensation for an injury caused by pure negligence from management. In my opinion this barn is designed purely to make money from uneducated new riders and is not in the best interest of the horses who are kept there.

I've been riding at Paints for about 4 years or so, and I love it! The instructors are great, and Lisa has taken care to match me with the right horse/s based on my abilities at any given time, which has added to both my enjoyment and my ability to develop my skills comfortably. I've had the opportunity to try a variety of different styles of riding, and expanded my skills well beyond what I had hoped. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. I see there are a few negative reviews on here, and they surprise me a great deal. In my years of riding here I have seen the affection and excellent care the horses receive first hand. Lisa has had many of her lesson horses for most of their lives, and it is obvious that the work she does in caring for them comes from her heart, and is not just about running a business. I look forward to riding here for many years to come.
