★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Houston Trail is one of the best hiking trails in Langley. The trail is well maintained and is very wide. There are three places where you can park: here at the trailhead, in the east corner, and in the north corner at the Houston farmstead. I recommend parking at the farmstead and taking in the history as part of your visit. There are also picnic tables in case you would like to have your lunch here. Best spot in the park is a boardwalk overlooking the Langley bog along the northwest edge; it’s very quiet and has a covered sitting area where you can rest a while and enjoy nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning hike. Beautifully maintained. Rolling and interval hike .. not flat. Even when it's raining you don't get very wet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really nice trail if you want to walk it and get your heart rate up. There are a few sustained hills along the way so that gives you a bit of a challenge. Some good viewpoints along the way too. You can do 1 or 2 loops depending on the time you have. There are several very large, beautiful trees in this park and lots of water for dogs to drink along the way. Washroom facility as well just in case! I would recommend this trail in all types of weather as it has quite a bit of canopy cover to keep you out of the elements. All in all, a great little piece of nature in the city.
