β β β β β I just started going to this beautiful church because I recently moved. I think it's a very beautiful church, if you go for the 4 pm service on Sunday the choir and this man in particular will blow you away. One thing I don't like about the service is that they sing every single prayer and it throws you off. I'm used to reciting the Our Father, the Creed and just about every prayer one needs at a typical Sunday mass but at this church because they sing everything I find myself having to read it cause it messes with my memory. Really not a fan of this so I started to zone out and pray the normal way but even that's challenging since ppl around you are singing the prayer. Oh and parents should be more considerate and control their kids, far too many disruptions with kids I find that the other day the priest pretty much told parents that the church wasn't a Daycare.

β β β β β This parish is the perfect place to grow in faith. Father Ron always seems to provide the most relevant guidance and insight through his homilies to nourish and sustain in the perfect way that we as Catholics can hope for. The singing of prayer - especially at solemnities! - invoke inspiration. If you wish to experience the richness of Catholicism, this parish, all it's families, members, imperfections and beauty delivers.

β β β β β I canβt believe I am writing a bad review about a church, but here I am. Where do I even begin?
Our family have been registered parishioners since 2017. First, the church is not kid-friendly. The washrooms donβt have a diaper changing station and the rooms at the back that are designated for families with children at are always full. When you do end up sitting at the front or inside the church with your children, the priest goes up to you and says, βItβs going to be a long mass, maybe you should try to sit at the back.β
Those were just little annoying/inconveniences I could say about this church. Our horrible experience started when we tried to baptize our eldest a few years ago. We were not married at church, but were legally married when we had our eldest. At the baptism class, our instructor said to us, βyou have been living in sinβ when we informed her (Julie) that we were not married at church.
Fast forward to now, when we tried to baptize our youngest. We had to attend a baptismal class again, even though we attended one 2 years ago for our eldest. No problem there! After the class, I got confirmation of the date of baptism. A week before the baptism, I got a call from the office and spoke to Angie. At first, I was told we were not registered because we have moved. I couldnβt understand that so I kept probing. Finally, I was told that we were no longer registered parishioners because we have been βinactiveβ since 2019. I explained to her that we have been attending mass, but quite often we forget to bring our envelopes. Also, COVID pandemic did not help with our attendance/activism. I was told that I needed to obtain a letter from the closest parish where I reside, in order for them to continue with the baptism. You can imagine my shock and frustration to hear this news ONE WEEK before the baptism AND after being allowed to attend the baptism class AND after receiving confirmation of the date of baptism. Like, where did this come from? Why couldnβt they have informed me about this rule in the beginning? I can appreciate and respect the rules of the Church. It was the way I was notified, talked to, and the overall experience I have had with the staff, from the little annoying inconveniences to this final straw. Our family have never felt welcomed in this church. For a church to be so unwelcoming, so judgemental, so unChristian like. What an absolute shame.

β β β β β Coming into church, all the staff rush you into seats just so you donβt breathe too long. Thinking of going to the bathroom? Just know the whole church will hear you since the priest removed the doors off the bathrooms so no one has the slightest sliver of privacy. Even if there is no one in the childrenβs rooms, you canβt sit in there under no circumstances even if the main room has no air conditioning so in scorching hot weather make sure you bring your own fan! The priest makes sure to make you feel welcome by finding a way to make your blood boil. There was once a good assistant to the church, Justin, which the priest also made leave. Overall, the worst church Iβve been too. Even 100 year old churches in Poland are better than this.
