It was a big waste of money and time for me. Research the literature and you will see that it seems there’s good reason to be skeptical about this procedure. For example, "new meta-analysis of 13 previous randomised controlled trials of neurofeedback therapy for ADHD in children has concluded: "Evidence from well-controlled trials with probably blinded outcomes currently fails to support neurofeedback as an effective treatment for ADHD." OR: "A new randomised, double-blind placebo-controlled trial has just reported that neurofeedback therapy for children with ADHD was no more effective than placebo." Save your money and time.

Incredible staff! Friendly and helpful. The office is immaculate with a calming energy. The temperature is spot on all year round. It is a very pleasant experience.

Would not personally recommend. After a $200 initial consultation, went for a booked follow-up and was told, only after I arrived, that I could not be seen as therapist was away from office. Was told I could book a new appointment... that was more than a month away. Did not even bother.

Took my 22 year old son who has Asperger's and was having regular panic attacks and angry meltdowns. There was an immediate improvement after the 1st HPN session and a complete 180 after only 3 sessions. Its night and day. He has had 3 anxiety attacks in the last year. He use to have them daily, screaming and punching things. I would highly recommend this treatment. It gave him his life back.

i visited the laurier location twice. the first time, the young woman at the front desk, who i think had orange-ish brown hair and possibly glasses, handed me a form to fill out. When i asked her a question about a portion of the form regarding payment information, her response was "i don't know, it's not MY paper" ..? I was pretty taken aback by this and was confused as to what she even meant. When i arrived for my second appointment, I learned that the front desk is responsible for several businesses. But this was not before presenting myself to the same woman, who seemed again to be irritated with my presence. I waited for her to finish chatting with another employee at the front desk and told her my name and that i was there for my appointment. She asked who I was there to see and I told her I was unsure of the name of my therapist(this was my second time there!) and this is when I learned that the front desk did not have my name as they were responsible for several businesses and that I would need the name of the person i was there to see. I said I was there to visit a psychologist (I was there because of some stressful events, one being my father's recent cancer diagnosis- feeling very stressed and fragile). As I fumbled through my phone trying to google the name of the business, I said i thought the therapist's name was "mari- something" she said "okay... that's all you had to say" and the employee she had been chatting with must have felt the tension after her response because he spoke up and kindly said something like "please have a seat it wont be too long". I sat in the waiting area for some time facing the back of the receptionist as she laughed and joked with several employees as they stopped by to chat. She was eating and talking about the chicken being spicy and did not once turn around to address the fact that my appointment should have started 10-15 minutes ago. I awkwardly approached her and asked if she knew how long it would be. She seemed to get a kick out of this whole situation because her very smug response was "well you didnt tell me who your appointment was with so i didnt check you in" ...!!! So she for some reason felt the need to play a little game with me and have me wait and potentially lose my appointment which thankfully i did not as the therapist was able to give me the extra time. I was shaking as I confronted her about what she had done, and she didnt even try to hide the delighted smirk on her face. This was my last time visiting this business. When i reached out to management about this issue, I received a response offering to give me the phone number of the business that runs the front desk. No apology or concern that a client was treated with so much unwarranted hostility. This was over a year ago and I still think about how terrible it felt to be treated like that while visiting a mental health professional. My advice to the owners is to get your own receptionist at the Laurier location who doesn't further traumatize your clients, but it's clear you aren't concerned. Avoid this place if you are looking for mental health care!
