Honestly I had a very bad experience in the clinic. The Asian nurse were so mean. I paid $550 package for after lasted surgery however I’ve never got even a phone for the exams. A few days I was told I should do the exam and I went to see the doctor. They said I have to pay the exam because the exam is not included. That’s so funny! You took the money for the package exams and never even set up an appointment and now you said I have to paid extra?? Shame on you!

I highly recommend Optomeyes Eye Care. Very professional and friendly service. Every interaction I had with everyone was amazing. My doctor has exceptional communication skills. She walked me thru the whole process and explained every detail of my eye exam results.

I brought my daughter for her eye exam and consultation regarding Ortho- K lenses with Dr. Chiu at Optomeyes Eye Care, and we were all impressed by his knowledge, informative and attention to detail. Finding a dedicated eye care professionals is extremely challenging when moving to a new city, and we are happy to say that we found it. The clinic is extremely clean, and it has the latest technology for eye exam. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for eye care professionals in Vancouver.

I came to this optometrist explicitly because of the reviews on here and I have to say I have NEVER had a worse experience with an optometrist. I moved to West Van and chose to go to Optomeyes because I saw that Dr. McRoberts specializes in Vision Therapy. I'd been told by multiple optometrists in the past that I have a Binocular Disorder called Convergence Insufficiency that needs to be treated with Vision therapy, so I sought Dr. McRobert's help. I suffered from debilitating chronic migraines caused primarily by computer use, and I was convinced if I started vision therapy like I'd been recommended to, it would help improve the issue. When I went for my appointment, literally everything that could've been done wrong was done wrong. Firstly, my actual prescription exam was so rushed that Dr. McRoberts gave me an incorrect prescription. He actually lowered my prescription from what it has been my whole life, and when I went and had my glasses made I had to bring them back into Optomeyes to ensure they weren't made incorrectly because they didn't work. Turned out they weren't made incorrectly, Dr. McRoberts had just rushed that part of the exam so much that he had given me the wrong prescription, like I'd thought. So I'd paid for glasses with the wrong prescription. I fought to have Dr. McRoberts have the lenses remade, telling him the issue was with the prescription, which he knew. But he told me it was my own fault for getting glasses from outside of their clinic, because the "quality wasn't as good", and then refused to do anything. How could he say this when the issue was obviously that he'd had to just correct the prescription he'd given me only weeks before?! Instead, he'd spent most of the initial appointment measuring the "dryness of my eyes" which he charged me an additional $100 for. He told me my migraines were most likely due to dry eyes, and so he prescribed me Omega 3 Supplements and a heated eye compress which he charged me another $80 for. He also said if they didn't help the issue their office could perform a procedure down the road. But worst of all, Dr McRoberts hastily and incorrectly performed a manual "convergence insufficiency" test and informed me I didn't have it. That it couldn't be causing the migraines because there was no issue. Because I doubted everything about his credibility after the prescription fiasco, I made an appointment with an Ophthalmologist who is actually certified to perform vision therapy - her entire office revolves around it. And I'm so glad I did. Because not only did she diagnose me with Convergence Insufficiency, she discovered I have extremely severe Binocular Dysfunction. This has led to permanent eye strain which she said is absolutely the cause of my chronic migraines. I am happy to say I am well into my vision therapy and my migraines have improved already. If I had trusted Dr McRoberts, I would be dealing with migraines 20+ days a month for the rest of my life. He had absolutely no regard for a condition that rendered a healthy, young, 20-something year old unable to work or live. He dismissed a disability and used it to scam me into paying for extras. If I hadn't gotten a second opinion I would've believed him and been so much worse off for it, forever. I honestly believe this man should have his license taken away. I am appalled.

The husband and I have been seeing Dr Bowden for years. The service from the entire team has always been friendly and professional. The clinic is welcoming, clean and equipped with the latest technology. I am glad to have connected with Dr Chiu who addressed my dry eye issue that needed help for the longest time and is very happy with the drastic improvements. The team at Optomeyes are passionate, caring and goes out of their way to make sure they provide the optimum health for their patients. Highly recommend. Efficient professional service with what seems the latest equipment in a well designed bright interior. Dr.mcRoberts is a pro, and takes the time to explain all the details. The frames selection is extensive and reasonable. Very good overall experience!

A Practice Rejuvenated! I have been a patient of this clinic since moving to the North Shore 20 years ago. And to be honest the service and organization had been declining to the point where we were looking for a new Optometrist. Fortunately, for the current staff, I had a bit of an eye glasses emergency and they blew me away. I was able to get in for an appointment that day to update my prescription (Dr Melanie was fantastic), they were able to help me pick out new frames and get me temporary lenses immediately following my appointment, staying well past closing time and had them swapped out with permanent lenses two days later. To me this is the definition of 5 star service!
