Thanks for cutting off my disabled partner and putting even more pressure on me, the caregiver. I get no funding, no time off, zero support and I am expected to pay for everything, which I have done for years now which is why I have nothing but debt. I saved my partner from addiction and made it possible for him to still be there for his son and you ODSP and your demeaning rules have hurt us. Thanks to you we are homeless in a few days. You should have to understand the disabilities of the people you are harming. If you provide a wheelchair ramp and claim to be accessible you should have to research and have some understanding of the disability your clients are dealing with. People with FASD, such as my partner, can not live independently. They require lifelong support which is what I am doing. Research the effects of being a caregiver in Canada and how we burn out, get sick ourselves and suffer from mental breakdowns. I know there are lots of other people out there who are being treated like criminals, who live in fear of the endless rules imposed by ODSP. You are just doing your job I suppose but if I were you, I'd push for change because it's wrong.

When you personally go to the office, all the staff I've ever dealt with were very friendly and helpful, even when my worker was unavailable or I just had a general question to ask. My worker is also extremely nice and supportive, leading me in the right direction when it's beyond their means. It's greatly appreciated.
