Ian was very welcoming from the moment we walked in the door and checked in throughout the day to make sure we were ok or if we had any questions. His kindness, welcoming and informative nature makes On the rocks a great place to visit whether you're an experienced climber or just beginning. We'll be back!

Staff are professional, pleasant & so helpful. The direct attention, instruction & feedback with the climber, regardless of age, is amazing. We've been before & will be back again!

They took the time to make sure we were comfortable with the 'falling' and didn't rush us and offered to help all along the time we were there. The staff was also very patient explaining the different place plans.

C	Conor MacLoclen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'll keep this brief. This establishment is warm, clean and very friendly. What makes this place different from other places is it isn't cold. Cold in colour and temperature. Too many climbing gyms have gross gravel floors or cement or wood. And other places usually have just plain painted plywood walls. On the Rocks has soft matted floor to protect from falls and synthetic rock walls. They have a nice lounge, a bouldering cave, the main area has auto-belays if you don't have a partner (though the staff is always there to belay you if you want), a coffee bar, snacks, and even a small area for a gym/party area. The proprietor is very knowledgeable and will immediately become your friend. He often holds events for the community and is a pillar of Campbell River.
