About Omen Brewing

Owned and operated by the Oswald men, Omen Brewing specializes in Darker styles of beer. With a predominately dark beer lineup we offer something for the true dark beer enthusiast as well as those who are afraid of the dark.

Our 10BBL brew house with six 10BBL uni-tanks allows us to make high quality and well balanced beer often enough to keep it fresh and great tasting. Our canned products are now available in Liquor Connect, so ask your local liquor store if they can bring some in. We can also be found at select bars, pubs and restaurants throughout Alberta, as well as our tap room.

We love the Alberta brewing community and are proud to be a part of Edmonton. The support we have received these past few years of brewing has been overwhelming and fantastic. We really love seeing our regulars enjoy our beer as well as new converts who told us that they “don’t like dark beer,” leave with a couple of Growler or Howler fills.

We are looking forward to providing you with more great beer to come and if you want to see a bit more about us check out some YouTube videos by clicking the link bellow.

Everyone I've dealt with here has been very nice and helpful! Recently bought one of their 10L mini kegs, and they took the time to help me get together everything I would need to connect it to my kegerator at home, even recommending a store to get a part they didn't have on hand. On top of the friendly service, I've never been disappointed by a beer here. I particularly enjoy their milk stout!

These guys have come right out if the gates with four solid wins! I need to especially mention my two favorite. The Milk Stout is one if the best I've had but don't just fill the growler to go; treat yourself to having it poured at the brewery on nitro! So smooth! Next is the Dunkelweisen. A big hit and probably the most popular seller at Omen based on what I hear at the bar. Not to leave the American Pale Ale unmentioned but I like my beer like I like my beer, dark! I didn't know what a Roggenbier was but I do now and the bar is set quite high. The rye beer adds great depth to the menu and is a rare and delicious treat. Anyway, don't take my word for it, check out the newest Brewery in Edmonton and try the whole flight!

Great beers and exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable service. Usually come in for Growler fills. Aiden is a great server and always has great suggestions when there something new is on tap to try. Irish red is our favourite, but all the other beers are great as well. Check it out!

I've been coming to Omen since right around the time they opened, and it's hands down my favorite brewery. The dark beers are outstanding, the rotating seasonal beers are excellently crafted and they have the best gluten free beer I've had. It's obvious the brewer(s) take the time to brew from scratch utilizing different techniques for different beers. The environment is small and intimate, it's clean and comfortable, and they let you order food in, or even bring your own food to the brewery which is outstanding. As perfect as this place is, it was made even better with barman extraordinaire - Aidan. Some of the best service I've ever had at a place, and you feel like you're among friends with staff that also care about you. Once in a while he'll even do a little Irish jig while bringing you a beer!

We had an impromptu stop here last night and we were not disappointed! The bartender was polite and knowledgeable, he was the only one there and he was well organized and speedy with the service. We had the option of being outside on the semi-covered patio with misting spray (nice for the heat) or inside. The drink options and prices were clearly listed and I would highly recommend the flat sampler for $9 to explore their variety (15 kinds of beers). They also offer Keg and can options for take home (very environmentally friendly). Unlike some small breweries in the area, I found this beer very palatable and none of our samples left me with a bitter taste. Beer is not my go-to drink, but I would happily have a pint from here just to enjoy the weather and support local. They also had a food truck out front (the Butchers son) who had the perfect pairing of German street food with the beer. Our drinks and food with 20% tip for two people came to $30 total. A great local place tucked in behind an industrial area, would highly recommend trying them out!

Today was my first time at the brewery, and I was floored with how incredible it was. The bartender poured me a flight with minimal input, and every single beer was a win. How they are good at saison, American pale ale, gluten free, AND kettle sour is beyond me. I had to pick up a can of each. In one visit, Omen Brewing became my favorite brewing company.
