Incredible group of people who help to keep the insurance industry honest. My travel claim was denied, I was lied to by multiple claims advisors and they tried every trick in the book to delay or prevent payment. I contacted the OLHI by online form on their website figuring I had nothing to lose and I was truly wowed by the compassion and diligence of their staff. My claim was paid in full and a sincere apology was issued by the offending insurer. If you are entitled to money as your policy indicates the wonderful people at the OLHI will help you get it. We were having difficulties finding the company that held my dad's insurance policy from the 70's, which premiums were being paid under the disability waiver claim. After contacting the OmbudService, we were directed to a insurance company and within two weeks, we recieved the insurance cheque. Thank you very much for the help.

I filed my complaint online to OHLI at Friday. I got reply on Monday already. Thank you Naomi Lowen to look into my case. Within 2 days, I got claim settlement from GMS insurance. I had tried to talk with GMS for 5 months about my mom's claim. However, they kept denied her request. Always using auto email reply for my request. Never update my information, either. After I filed my complaint to OHLI. GMS insurance sent the check to me at the next day. Thanks again for the help, otherwise I really dont know how long it will take me to get everything settled.

Naomi stepped into assist in a timely manner when I was dealing with a very difficult personal experience. Having dealt with Humania Insurance for 10 months while they continued to deny my claim and had NO intention to pay, only to make it extremely difficult in a situation which was obviously legitimate. Naomi explained how to deal with the company and situation which quickly got their attention.This in my opinion, sadly, is a very necessary service in this industry. The company was intimidated into paying knowing I had the support of the Ombudsman Service.

A big thank you to Naomi Lowen at OLHI for her advice. I purchased travel insurance for a flight that was cancelled due to Covid and although the government mandated airlines to refund airfares, no such agreement was reached with insurance companies. I tried on my own to contact them and got no response until I contacted OLHI and Naomi provided me with the contact information I needed. My first response from the insurance company was that I am not eligible and I was ready to give up on it but Naomi encouraged me to pursue it and in the end, they did refund my money. Great service and I will recommend to others
