Had a power burn out from house to power pole , had a company come out to thump the line , they recommended oil city, fortis Alberta recommended oil city as well , called and got a price to hydro vac , put a splice kit in , called back got the other owner Dylan he had no idea of what I was talking about he called his partner to find out more info , he told me the price his partner gave us was wron the splice kit went up $600.00 , I had still agreed to the price , they were to meet me at 8 am the next am , he was an hour late as well when he got to site he was very verbally abusive to the power line tester , screaming at him swearing at him over the speaker phone , the power tester said follow the line down the pole into the ground the break is at the base of the pole . This Dylan from oil city said the tester was stupid , didn’t do his job , screaming and swearing at me at this point that he would be fishing for hours for the break and the price he gave me is now out the window , he was telling me to get the tester over there to make it properly then call him back to do the job . All the tim my 16 year old son was there while this was going on , there is no proffessionalisam from this company or it’s owners , and the price can’t change on a whim or a persons emergency . I would not recommend this company to anyone ..... If your looking at getting ripped off these are the guys to use .... Dylan the owner is a hot heat and unreasonable as he left the site he sped away throwing rocks from his tires . No respect for anyone or there property . Thank god , Kelly from power test whom Dylan was screaming at , was able to find a company that will fix the problem and back fill hole for original price oil city quoted the first time.

We are an Electrical Company based out of Edmonton, that does various types of electrical installations. Oil City owners Brent and Dylan have always been very kind, and accommodating when it comes to tight deadlines. It is a bonus that their pricing has also been fantastic! We cannot say a bad thing about this company. We will continue to use their service's on upcoming projects.

I did had to call these guys out for some less than idea work in the past. They were quick, professional and clean. Having ran a hydrovac myself in the past, its great to see people take pride in not just the work they do, but how the job site is left after they leave.

I have worked with this company for years, dylan and brent have been great. Their very professional with their crews and equipment. If you want a reliable company with lots of knowledge in the construction industry. Then oil city is your company. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Called on the team at Oil City to assist in an unusual fencing project involving fence post installed into retaining wall blocks. His crew showed up early and performed the excavations. We were able to dump the excavated materials on site, I'm told that saved me quite a few bucks. The job took a little more than an hour, so they even rinsed my pick up for me as they have a minimum hourly charge, and we didn't use up the alloted time. Nice touch. As a business owner, I understand the minimum charges(dispatch, labour, pretrips, fuel, etc) and quoted my project to accommodate the fees. My new, go-to guys for any daylights or locates I need.

We hired Oil City Energy Services LTD to do work on our residential property when an underground power line busted as they came highly recommended. We were so impressed with not only the pricing, the quality of work, but also the hands on approach. They took the time to help us navigate the fix by even finding us an amazing Electrician as well! We couldn't be happier with the job and we highly recommend them if you're ever in a similar bind!
