I brought them a heavy-duty 120V AC motor from an electric winch. They told me it’s not something they normally worked on but it’s not really that much different from an automotive starter motor. It took them almost a month and a couple hundred dollars to discover it was only wire disconnected from the internal rectifier.
After picking it up and attempting to use it, it smoked and then siezed up within 2 minutes. I suspect they didn’t tighten and allign the armature correctly. They said bring it back and that they’d take a look at it, but it might take a while as they were busy. They had it for almost a year and never looked at it, so I picked it up today and have to pay someone else to fix their mistake. Hopefully someone who values their customers and takes pride in their work.

They really dwent above and beyond for me eachtieac I have gone in.
Although I have not yet needed a starter or alternator repaired, they have saved a lot of money, time and frustration repairing my trolling motors and replacing power trim on my outboards.
Always call them 1st with a DC motor issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just got an alternator from this place and it works amazing! My mechanic quoted me $200 for an alternator(remaned) so I called these guys. They said $135, and wow this thing looks brand new and even has a factory core.(Ford Motorcraft) I should also mention that my last alternator from one of those aftermarket places was a complete piece of junk from day 1 and never worked properly. Don't waste your time or money and just visit Oakville Starter & Alternator. Great parts and service there!
