$10 per person, so for a family it can be very expensive, it should be free for kids and that way every kid in the city could attend and have fun. 2 food trucks that were out of food but had warm drinks at 1:30 and another drink stand with coconut water and sugar cane juice ect. Gave 3 stars because everyone inside the fenced in area was really good with the kids other wise would. other wise would have gotten 1 star for making money off of kids.

Hours on the weekend sort of ok, but it closes early. Week days it closes when kids finish school, preventing any school age kids from going. Many find $10 cost too high when it’s charged for every child and adult. No parking at rotary park- recommended to take bikes or walk over 1 km from river landing (again, week days is only available for preschoolers: ever try to get preschoolers to walk 1km, then play in the hot sun then walk back? Clearly not) Food trucks available - not kid friendly food like hot dogs or pizza or ice cream- all gourmet adult stuff, vegan, Mexican power bowls, gourmet grilled cheese- no kraft singles style, nice for adults but not for kids. No shade. It might suit you if you are a vegan, yoga lovBig, high income, stay at home parent of preschoolers:

My kids love the Children’s Festival! For anyone worried that the $10/person is too high a cost, the libraries around the city give out free passes and I’ve never seen a year where they run out. Bring a stroller for your young kids as there is a good chance they’ll wear themselves out. For the $10 admission fee you’ll have access to all the activities, face painting, fossil hunting(always a favourite), an amazing amount of shows and many other booths from organizations such as Parks Canada; face painting at the EX cost $10 a kid so really it’s not that bad for a whole day of activities. Parking isn’t the best around Rotary Park so plan to bike, they have an area to leave your bikes, or walk from a car or bus just across the bridge or from Broadway(~500m walk either way). Bring snacks and water as the food choices aren’t inexpensive; good food but not easy on the wallet with a large family. I’d have given it five stars if they could improve their food choices. Love that they had CHEP selling fresh fruit one year but I don’t remember seeing them after the move to Rotary Park.
