Norwood Retirement Bootcamp
Season Two of the Norwood Retirement Bootcamp will begin Sept 23, 2021 and run through March 31st, 2022.
Meetings will be offered once per week; Thursday's from 12-2pm.
The purpose of the Norwood retirement bootcamp program is to provide a safe, community-friendly space to learn, share, laugh, and support our retirees of all ages. Each week we will spend time examining various aspects of retirement health and well-being to foster positive attitudes and behaviours that we can bring home to our family, friends and communities. What we do matters!
There is a drop-in fee of $5 or you can purchase an annual membership for $45.
Unless otherwise communicated, sessions will be held in the NCC large hall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It had a nice hall for the wedding social that I attended last night. The couple had two separate rooms: one with the dance floor and one for the social food, and they had the entrance area for the social prizes. It was clever to have two separate areas: one loud and one quiet area. The parking lot was roomy and it wasn't hard to find the centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large hall with secondary recreation room. An incredible design for a venue that allows for social events with loud music in a dance hall and conversations over food or while watching a hockey game in the rooms directly adjacent without much bleed from either into the other. The hall did smell like a pipe in the bathroom had burst near the entrance, but I'm going to give the centre the benefit of the doubt in assuming that the smell of methane in the lobby isn't a common problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are having a wedding social this is the place to book!
The Norwood CC and Staff are extremely organized and on top of everything to ensure your event runs smoothly. They provide staff at the door to check ID's and give out wrist bands so your event doesn't go over capacity. The supervisor Sean was very helpful and made our night stress free! Bartenders are also provided so you don't have to worry as a Liquor Permit Holder of people being over served. The first Dance DJ service has a great set up with a projector screen, awesome lighting and has people dancing all night!
Couldn't have been happier having this venue to hold our wedding social and would highly recommend to anyone in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to the Norwood center for an office meeting. The facility offers ample parking. The facility itself is located in a quiet neighborhood, with a large open park like area on its west side. Beautiful. The facility itself is a bit older and could use a little updating, however it is fully functional and is very large offering multiple meeting rooms. Quite nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice facilities...tennis courts are excellent but often busy. Multiple outdoor hockey rinks and a ball diamond. No longer has the kids splash pool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This community center has many outdoor and indoor activities for the family. Even with the outdoor pool recently removed, they still have plenty to offer. Basketball courts, tennis courts, hockey rinks, soccer field, baseball diamonds, hitting cage, wading pool, toddler play structures and the indoor area hosts many wonderful activities I'm sure you can find on their webpage.
