Manual Osteopathy is a patient-centered, hands-on approach to health that recognizes the body as a self-regulating unit in which function and structure interact with another. Manual Osteopathy is guided by principles of relating to the patient as a whole. A well-trained osteopath has detailed knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and biodynamics as well as a highly-skilled sense of touch. These skills help the practitioner in assessing and restoring balance between all body systems: musculo-skeletal (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia), cardiovascular (circulation and blood vessels), neurological (nervous system), cranial-sacral (cranial bones and their connection to the sacrum/tailbone), and visceral (organs). In health, the body seeks to maintain a balance within and between these systems.
By means of individually developed manual treatments, unrestricted mobility of all body structures is sought to support the natural healing process.
The osteopathic treatment is intelligent, gentle and painless. It is well suited for all ages.
The basic concept of osteopathy was discovered in 1874 by American Physician Dr. Andrew Taylor Still and is now practised worldwide as a successful treatment method and being further developed on a scientific basis.

He is respectful and professional. His method is gentle, as is he. It is different from massage yet his massage background helps him, I believe, to extend his skill as an osteopath.
