Nice clean and treed sites. Had 30amp power and water right at site with an easily accessible sewage dump. Several playgrounds for the kids. Boat launch and dock on site

We go to nickle lake every year. Though, they can make it better. 1. They NEED to clean up all the algae and seaweed by the beach. 2. What happened to the wifi?!? (lol we don't need it, but still..) 3. Ice cream used to be $2 for a large scoop. It's now $2.50, which is fine. But why do you get less then what it originally was? 4. People working in the Cafe don't know where anything is. If you are looking for buying wood or facts about stuff. It is best to just call the office. The beach is my main concern. Otherwise we had lots of fun. They have great deals on wood. Plenty of parks to go to. Friendly staff. And the washrooms are very neat and tidy!

Tenting campsites were not well maintained. There was broken glass eveywhere and even worse, i had rented two campsites and a group of teenagers were staying on one of my sites. When i informed front desk they sent down a young man who told them they were in my site and should move over one space to there site. When they refused he looked at me shrugged his shoulders and left. I had to share my single site with my sisters family and ended up having the teenagers stay in the other site i had paid for

Sadly this campground is in need of a good clean up and maybe some updating. Staff was pleasant and allowed us to change sites. No firewood available on Labour Day long weekend!!! Our firepit (which we didn't use) was full of garbage. Bathrooms/showers clean and decent. Laundry room was horrendous but we still managed to do a load for $2.00. The "airshow" put on by the birds (swallows? starlings?) in the evening was spectacular.

2 stars is being generous unfortunately. During my stay here the bathrooms and showers were disgusting. My sister found a used sanitary pad in her shower, globs of hair, they were just quite gross in general. The seasonal sites washrooms were nicer, and cleaner than the ones we had in our area. The small store by the beach is also questionable. A worker was at a table, not behind the counter so we thought they were a customer, then they served us our icecream without washing their hands or putting on gloves. The lake was pretty, I really wanted to have a good time here, but with how gross the showers were, the questionable sanitary practices at the store, the lack of things to do without a boat, none of my family had very much fun here. Other people seem to love it there, so I hope the problems we had were a temporary thing.

The swimming area is very small and full of weeds but the beach is big and ok. Lots of shade and grass near the water with picnic tables and bbqs.

Loved camping with my daughters! The beach was great and so was the ice cream! Scenery was beautiful and the fact you can have firewood delivered to your site was fantastic!

Only one thing to say negative and that is the showers are poor pressure but they have one of the best boat launches we have used
