We made the difficult Decision to sell our home of almost 20 years and decided to use the services of Nick Van. He was incredible and extremely helpful with this transaction. I had just secured another real estate agent before I even knew who Nick Van was. I called Nick on a listing that he had in the Chilliwack area and he was such a wealth of information and so generous with his time that it left a powerful positive impression on me. After several weeks of dealing with a less then engaging agent I decided that I would switch over to Nick Van. Boy was I glad that I did! Nick was able to secure my wife and I a townhouse in Sardis ( Chilliwack ) that I am sure no one else could have. Nick was an immense support to us selling our first home. Prior to listing, he was able to prepare a comprehensive home and market evaluation. He came through the house and gave us some advice on what we should/shouldn't do to prep the house for sale. When it came time to listing he arranged for professional photos and floor plan (still our favourite photos of our home). In addition, he provided advice in staging for photos and showings. Nick also make it super easy to communicate with him as I prefer texting when possible so he was kind enough to do most of the communication via text when possible. It allowed me to scroll back and check something if I had forgotten a piece. When it came time to review offers he went through all the offers patiently and provided us with guidance on the pros and cons of each offer - although there were definitely front runners. All in all, results speak for themselves. We were able to sell the house for almost 10% over our asking price with no conditions and our preferred possession date. This is where the story of most realtors would end, but after all that work in selling our home in October and possession slated for January we suffered a water intrusion during the BC Floods when the storm drain system in our neighbourhood failed. As a result, the beautifully (newly) renovated basement had to be redone. No only did Nick council us through a highly emotional and stressful time, but helped us to understand what we needed to do to ensure we weren't going to end up in hot water with the sale of the house. In the end, it was fully remediated and repaired thanks to Winmar and Master Painting & Renovations but that is a story for additional reviews. Short version: Hire Nick as your realtor.

Nick comes highly recommended. We couldn't have asked for a better agent than Nick. He was the steadying presence we needed while trying to buy our first home in a tough market. We presented plenty of bumps along the way, but he was very patient and knowledgeable and always had another option or idea to find us our new home. When it comes time to move next, Nick will be the first person we call.
