Shilpa Mehta gave me very good advice on some tough issues I was dealing with in regards to my Separation Agreement. She offered a initial Consultation, reviewed my previous lawyers work, found areas where she could help reduce my payment and gave solid practical advice. She was available for follow up calls or meetings concerning my ongoing issues. She is very fair with the billing and time. She reduced seemingly complicated or convoluted issues into simple solutions or plans of action. After each conversation, I felt relieved and more in control of a very stressful situation.

First red flag was she was offering free 30 min consultation but was too busy to see at the time I required until I offered to pay for the consult and then she accommodated. She seemed to be on the same page as me, she was polite seemed caring and easy to talk too but soon I found out that wasn't the case. She took over 10k from me and did absolutiey nothing. At the end of it my ex and I terminated both lawyers services and facilitated our own separation. Keep the lawyers out of it, you can create your own separation agreement online for free. It's foolish to think lawyers who get paid hundreds of dollars hourly will work to bring things to a quick conclusion, more conflict equals more pay...
