★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an older building but well maintained, the owner and hairstylist is very pleasant and professional. She quickly cleans up after each cut for next customer. This was my first time there, so a little nervous about how my hair was going to turn out, I've been to a few other shops in Peterborough and have not been happy with them but at Nel's I got a perfect haircut! As far as pricing, other places charged me $30 to $40, but at Nel's the price was $19, I was so happy with the cuts that I left her $25 which is still cheaper than other places.
I will be a regular customer at Nel's from here on out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nel is great. Very pleasant, and thorough with attention to detail. Until I began shaving most of my hair off annually, I never would've guessed it'd be possible to do a poor job of such a cut - other places in town showed me otherwise. Not only does Nel do a great job making it perfectly even, she also uses this neat brush thing after to remove almost all of the infinite and infinitely annoying little hair pieces that stick around until you've showered twice.
*Update: current price for a basic adult cut has gone up to $22 (maybe due to COVID?)
