we just sold our house and bought a new one all within a month of contacting Neil for the first time Neil was really helpful and gave us a lot of advice to make our house more "sellable" and it really showed when our house was sold after just two days on the market I recommend Neil 100% and will sure use him again if I need in the future

I have only owned condo's in the past, so when it came time to sell my condo and purchase my first house with my boyfriend, we were recommended to use Neil as our realtor. My experiences with realtors in the past made me very nervous to try to find another one. I always felt in the dark about everything and felt more like I was just a payday than a person. Neil is a diamond in the rough! He helped both of us understand the ins and outs of the entire process. Through each walkthrough, he would immediately point out the issues he saw (big or small) and taught us to be able to spot those issues ourselves. We could see how proud he was that we were catching on so quickly, but that didn't stop him from being 100% honest about each home. He was very in depth with the explanations and how each issue could end up costing us time and money down the road. He has flipped homes in the past and is currently in the process of renovating his own home, so we trust the information he provides. On top of issues with the property, he would also be very transparent about the areas we were looking in, he told us to check the Edmonton Crime Map to better understand the neighbourhood’s and find the best one for us. He would always point out the main roads surrounding the properties (for noise pollution and traffic) as well as take a look at the adjacent homes to and what to expect with those neighbours (if they had junk in the backyard, loud dogs, transient traffic , etc). Neil is always so cheery and we felt we connected on a personal level, not just professional. We shared many jokes, laughs, and smiles while working together. He wasn’t just trying to sell us a house, he wanted to sell us a home. He would always reassure us that the perfect home was around the corner and that he wanted us to be completely happy in the home we chose. Neil shared his experience buying a home with his wife and how as soon as they stepped in the door they both shared a look of “this is the one”, he wanted us to have the same feeling. I will be sure to recommend Neil to anyone looking to either sell or buy a property. We couldn’t have found our dream home without him! Thanks so much Neil!!

Neil Thompson has gone above and beyond anything I would expect from a realtor or any professional I have, or would, encounter. I met him in 2014 when I was purchasing my new home in Edmonton, I was working out of town and the Mother of my children oversaw finding the home that we would be raising our children in. He was empathetic and understanding when a home did not meet her exact criteria and took it upon himself to ensure we were happy with the home we eventually purchased as if it were his own home that was being bought, even though it required the time and energy to look at almost 30 houses in every quadrant of Edmonton, in almost every price range. Fast forward to 2020 when we moved back to BC, trying to sell the home in the middle of a pandemic. He assessed the home, giving it an above average rating, and gave me some tips on what would make my home more marketable. Seeing as I was out of town working, and was not able to do most of the recommended improvements, he took it upon himself to align me with people he has in his arsenal to have issues such as lawn care and general maintenance taken care of. He even went as far as personally removing a pirate ship that I had built for my children, that had become more of a 6 year old eyesore than a play structure, that was 8 feet tall, 14 feet long and 6 feet wide by himself, using a sawsall, a wheel barrow and a trailer to bring it to the dump. I can’t stress enough, the amount of work I put into this would’ve required just as much to take it apart. 400 2X4’s and 3,000 3” screws held this bad boy together, and he removed it for my benefit, asking nothing more than a thank you and just appreciating the opportunity to help. That’s a whole new level of service that I doubt anyone could find from any professional, let alone a realtor that could easily pass that off as a “not my job” moment, and let their client take a financial hit just to make their job easier. I honestly believe that you will not find a harder working, more caring realtor anywhere. If you are looking at buying or selling a home, even if you already have a realtor, give him a call and I guarantee you will want to work with him over anyone else. I was lucky enough to stumble on to his contact information, and I’m more than happy to share my great experience with him with everyone I know and at every opportunity that I get. Neil Thompson encompasses the person that I hope to interact with every time I have to go to the mechanic, hire a plumber, talk to a lawyer, buy a vehicle, or any time I’m dealing with someone who I have hired to compensate for my lack of knowledge in any field. I’ve never trusted anyone who is dealing with my personal matters as much as I have Neil, and I know everyone who works with him will feel the same way.

Working with Neil was a pleasure! He had our best interest in mind when we were buying our house. He made sure it was exactly what we wanted and didn't force us in to anything that wasn't the right fit. We ended up selling our house (we moved provinces) and used Neil again for the sale. He made sure we positioned ourselves in the market to get top dollar, but also a quick sale! We couldn't have been more happy with our experience. He uses professionals for photography to make sure our house stood out. 10/10 would work with Neil again!

I strongly recommend Neil. He was excellent in his work and very friendly. It was terrifying purchasing a home for the first time but he has made the whole process a lot more easier and didn’t hesitate to answer all the questions we had. Very thankful for his help! Thank you again Neil.
