For approximately 11 years I have been trying to get my baby's momma into court to deal with our issues. I have been threw 5 other lawyers and got no where . Sorry for the long review, but it’s honest, and needs to be read. We were looking for an experienced family lawyer, and were hopeful when we saw that Laura specialized in working with opposing clients that were narcissists. We were given a time for a consult on this past Good Friday. We thought it was out of the ordinary, but their receptionist Giovanna confirmed the prior Saturday, and again the Monday when she stated she received my materials . She said she needed them for Laura to get up to speed on our inquiry prior to the phone call. Our appt day arrived. 10 min went by. Then 20. I finally ended up calling and left a voicemail as to where our phone call from Laura was. Keep in mind, my husband re-arranged his schedule, took this day off so we could both be on the call. My husband then received a call after our message was left stating that due to a scheduling conflict, we would have to take the next available appt on the following Tues, even after I had stressed we needed representation asap. She then said to my husband “ oh, you didn’t get the text we needed to reschedule”? I’m sorry, but when you stress how important an appt is, that’s what you do? Pick up the phone and call, send an email at least! We get the call after you have missed the appt?Not to mention there was no text sent to either one of our phones.Brutal. That Tuesday arrived, we were hopeful even after the “ no call no show” Not only was Laura 10 minutes late calling us, she didn’t even look at the materials we sent over. She had no clue at first as to what our needs were. Completely unprepared, and blamed her new receptionist for not saving the documents in the right spot. Would you not look at that prior to calling?!Not to mention we never got an apology for the reschedule or the fact she was late calling. To add insult to serious injury, we let her know what hell we went thru with opposing counsel the last battle, she asked who it was. When we told her, she actually praised this guy, and stated what a great lawyer he is. I mean who does that?!The lawyer in question has been on suspension since Dec 2021. High praise worthy indeed. At this point I’m really scratching my head, and decided to sleep on it after the call. We were so desperate to get the process started, for a second we did think about maybe going forward. I sent an email yesterday that we are not a good fit for their firm, and requested half of our consult fee back as we were slotted an hour at $336 and it didn’t even take 30 minutes. I suggest this firm take the criticism, and do better in the future for clients that are seeking much needed help from counsel.

I asked Laura for help after my first lawyer was non communicative. Laura made time to assist me with my emergency family situation (got results in 3 business days!). She was able to negotiate a fair agreement, avoiding going through a trial even though it was a very contentious and delicate situation. She gave me realistic advice, and she let me know what to expect. I did not have to be worried about finding solutions on my own (like my first lawyer). Communication was excellent and on time. Compassionate yet firm, and very effective. I feel so lucky to have found her.
