We are new to the area, and it was suggested to go to this area and look at the beautiful ocean view, and the campsite, which was closed. How lovely it myst be to camp there in season. The drive into it seemed large, and extra welcoming by the quaint oceanside gazebo. We parked in the large parking/drive area, facing the ocean, and next to what looked like it might have been a long pier at one time. Not even close to any homes. After about 10 minutes, a lady drove up to us, asked if we has any business in this area, we where told it's private property, and my husband responded by saying "sorry, we'll leave right away". That was that, and tho a beautiful and scenic spot, I don't think we'd consider rv'ing there now. We apologize as it was on private property, but still, there are a couple of businesses, the other a marine store. Why then, would we be given the feeling one is not welcome unless doing business. We certainly will not be doing business there.

Came up towards the highway, saw an open area just before you merge on the highway. I wanted to stop for a second and consult my map so I thought this was the perfect spot. I've seen several pullouts off the highway and thought this was no different (no signs indicating it was private property) A man drove up to me and quite rudely told me I needed to "leave right the f*** now" and that it was private property. I told him I would be leaving right away. As I drove onto the highway I saw their sign saying " everyone welcome" and I had to scoff at it. Especially after the greeting I was given. Without a sign saying "no parking, private property" what right do you have to come up to someone and speak to them with such disrespect?
