Our stay in Nakusp Municipal Campground was unexpected as we were just passing by on our way to Nelson. It was love at first sight!!!!! First, this place is so quiet that you can't tell you're in the middle of a residential area. Not overcrowded, enough space between camping spots, lovely beach at walking distance and the cleanest main Street I've ever seen! Second, Dan (at reception) had welcome us like we were family! We felt instantly like home! I've never seen a campground were they have that much material you can borrow. Even all the signs in the washrooms was fun to read! The place is very well maintained and quiet. Honestly, we fell in love with Nakusp and we might consider moving in the area one day! See you soon ❤️

We were here last year and loved it so much, we made the point to come back. Clean, quiet, and well run. Dan, the manager, is seriously the best, nicest person. If you need something, he’ll try to help. The campground itself is awesome with a great location; close to the beach/lake, park for kids and a quick walk into town. The bathrooms are very clean and the whole place is welcoming. I’d recommend this campground and we’re definitely coming back!

This place is clean, inexpensive, well run, sheltered, small, family friendly and quiet. We stayed two nights. They have a small phone charging station for tenters. Showers are push button, no extra charge. Sink for dish washing. Ten minute walk to the beach. Sadly, I never took pictures, but I would stay there again, no problem.

A very nice, clean, friendly and reasonably priced campground. About a 3 block walk to downtown for grocery store, dining and beverages for the campsite, the same distance to the great municipal beach. The waterfront walk along the lake is worthy as well.

I’m very HAPPY to revise my review as the Municipality called and made our negative experience right. Thank you Nakusp, we will be back in the spring. -10 stars if I could. Rude nasty VERY CONFRONTATIONAL argumentative female campground greeter. Originally I booked 4 nights but needed to change to the following week. I received a confirmation email for the 1st booking, emailed back to change dates and received a confirmation again. When we arrived she insisted we had booked 2 sites and because of the error would be charged 1 night for the 2nd site???? Never did get to the bottom of the problem as she was bound and determined SHE was right. We ended up leaving and found accommodation at KBR Campground up the road. I will be going to the City Hall tomorrow to lodge a complaint as the person said we’d be charged anyways! And yes we have been charged $60. for 2 sites!

We stayed at this campground for 8 days with our two children and would highly recommend. For a municipal campground, it actually has trees and many of the sites have very good privacy, in comparison to most municipal campgrounds which are usually like parking lots. The campground is only a 5 minute walk to the beach which is convenient. The operators of the campground were so friendly and accommodating, especially when we mistakenly showed up a day early for our reservation. They keep the sites, bathrooms and garbage areas extremely clean, have well organized bins for garbage, recyclables etc. The operators also do a great job at enforcing the quiet hours. At 10pm if there is any loud ruckus going on they shut it down immediately which is so appreciated when you're camping with small children. Would highly recommend and we will be back next year for sure.

Great location, close to beach and skate park. Well kept sites with lots of room between each site. The showers didnt have any running hot water which I can get past, I can go a few days without showering... but I felt charging users of the campsite a "cash" sani dumping fee with their makeshift jiffy marker sign was uncalled for. I have never seen a campsite charge their patrons to dump after a weekend. I see outsiders, not users. I left feeling robbed a bit there.
