Stayed in Cottage #1 With my family and kids Very impressed with this place Very Clean and very well stocked up with all the things you need. Nice little town , great for fishing as well We got to use the fire pits and the BBQ in the backyard as well All great little extras to have Only small issue was wifi was really weak even to watch tv sometimes it kept freezing. Lots of mosquitoes at night to Definitely still recommend this place

We stayed at cottage #10 for 3N/4D. Rui was an exceptional host, very responsive & friendly. The cottage location is absolutely awesome, just where the Grand River and Lake Erie meet. Lots of options around for fishing, boating or just relaxing by the riverside. The public beach is just about a minute drive from the cottage. The cottage was well equipped and stocked with everything you would need. The backyard is massive and done nicely with space for bonfire and BBQ. Lots of space in the backyard for kids to run around or play. There is a pungent bad smell in the backyard which you will need to get used to but nothing that one can’t bear. We had an issue with one of the washrooms but Rui was quick to act on it and came the same evening we called him. Although the washroom issue was eventually fixed the next day around noon, we were happy that Rui responded appropriately and on time. Definitely a place we will come back for sure.

Back in March 2021, my 5 friends and I had booked this cottage looking for a nice get away in hopes that the pandemic restrictions would be lifted and that we would get an opportunity to spend a few days together before we all left for university in September. After not hearing from the owner in over 4 months, we decided it was a good idea to message them to ensure our trip was still good to go as planned. The owner got back to us the next day, ensuring that we were still 100% good to go, even giving us the code to enter the cottage (about 3 days before arriving). After driving over 2 hours to Dunnville, we decided to call the owner to see if the cottage was ready for us to check into. Once on the phone with the owner, we were informed that they had over booked and that they had no place for us to go. After not being very helpful, they promised us a full refund (which we have not yet received after approximately 5 days) and not having a way to accommodate us at all, leaving us stranded somewhere we've never been before with two cars full of food and luggage. We are extremely frustrated and upset with the disorganization and unprofessionalism and hope this does not happen to anyone else. I do NOT recommend this rental and we would like our refund please and thank you!!!!!!

Well, the overall experience it definitely NOT Good. Rui was not very pleased to help us in any form. The signal Rui gave me was once we are arrived, we are on our own! First, he told me they only supply the first day of shampoo and body wash. However, the website indicate they have everything, the only thing the guest need to bring is Food! Apparently, the statement was not true! We have 9 people, Rui only left very little shampoo and body wash (those tester/sample size). It was not enough for the first night!! Rui ask me to go to Walmart to buy some. He ended it provided two bottle of Walmart product on the third day. Secondly, there was a room with bunk bed which design to sleep 4 people. They are so cheap that they leave one upper bed unfinished!! My two kids fight over with the top bunk bed. They ended up very unhappy and I had to sleep with my 11 years old child in the lower bunk bed. I really did not sleep good with my kids with me. I woke up more than 10 times during the night. The next morning, I almost begged Rui to set up the upper bunk bed. He refused! He said they did set up 10 beds in the cottage. I should go finger where do I sleep myself. Yes, there was ten bed. However, I cannot go sleep in my brother-in-law’s room. And I can not invite any male to sleep in my girls' room. I don’t understand why do would leave an unfinished bed in the cottage. Thirdly, we did not go outside or backyard at all. It’s smells unbelievably bad. I think it from the septic tank. You just don’t enjoy the smell from outside. And it is very strong for the hot summer day. I was really disappointed. I will not recommend this host to anyone. Try to avoid them.

My sister and her five friends booked a cottage this week to conclude this summer before they all went off to universities away from each other. They took time off work and from their families to drive over 2 hrs away to this cottage only to be TURNED AWAY when they arrived because they DOUBLE BOOKED!!!! They booked this way back in March 2021 to ensure this cottage vacation would happen. They called to confirm their trip several times before leaving. When they arrived they called Rui to see if the room was ready but he poorly accommodated them.... Rui could only promise them a full refund which was definitely expected plus $50 in gas money after my sister and Her friends convinced him to do so. This was their last chance as a friend group to have a good time before they went our separate ways. So they scrambled to find another last minute plan but had to settle for the cheapest hotel they could find, which was not even located in the area, because Rui STILL has not refunded them their money & it’s been 4 days now since this all happened. I watched and heard my sister and her friends plan for this cottage weeks and months in advance & it saddens me that this happened to them. They were looking so forward to this trip for months and my sister was in tears when she and her friends were turned away... ? Overall DO NOT BOOK HERE! Wish I could give it no stars.

Me and 5 friends planned a fun end of the year trip together at this cottage. We drove nearly 2 hours and when we got there we we’re told he over booked and sent us home. He didn’t seem to care much about how upset we we’re and still hasn’t sent our money back after promising to give us a full refund and extra incentives. Do not rent!!!

Me and my five friends booked this cottage for an end of the year vacation before we all went our separate ways for school. We all took time off work and time away from our families to come here. We booked for 3N/4D back in MARCH. We drove over two hours to the location and showed up an hour early just to be told that the cottage was over booked!! Keep in mind we called to confirm our trip two or three days in advance and we were assured that we were good to go and that there were no issues. Upon our arrival, we called Rui the host to see if our room was ready. Not only did he do a poor job of accommodating us for our ruined trip, but all he could say was how bad he felt and that he wished he had somewhere for us to stay. Because we were a big group we came with two cars and a lot of luggage. All Rui could do was promise us a full refund which was expected and $50 gas money for the inconvenience AFTER much convincing. A free trip whenever we wanted was also promised, but this was our last chance as a friend group to have a good time before we went our separate ways. As one does when a trip goes downhill, we immediately started looking for last minute hotels in the area, however being young adults (19,20) we had to settle for the cheapest hotel we could find because we needed our money back from Rui immediately to book a hotel for that night. Needless to say, not only are we disappointed with the disorganization and lack of professionalism from this place, but it has been nearly four days and we still have not received our refund! Our parents have called numerous times as have we and we are not getting anywhere. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. DO NOT RENT!!!!

Amazing little get away. Cottage has everything you could possibly need! Right on the grand river. Super modern and clean! Loved the back outdoor space.
