The Shaama Centre is a dynamic community hub that offers a range of activities and services that enhance the quality of life for our seniors, women and their families especially those who are isolated because of social and physical barriers.
We offer classes including English, basic computer training, fitness, and painting. We also provide counselling and a range of support services for people coping with grief, dealing with domestic violence, or other life challenges. We welcome people of all ages and celebrate Edmonton’s various rich cultural communities. We are a registered charity supported by the government and our community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long story short, I went to this centre because I qualified as low income while in university and I wanted to have my taxes done. As a student, who's main focus was on studies I felt as though this was a great opportunity to get my taxes done for free. Boy was I wrong.
The man who did my taxes screwed up on a few tax lines but assured me afterwards that I would be getting my money through a cheque from the government. Nope. In fact the government audited me because of all the incorrect information he put into my tax lines and 5 months after speaking with a agent from the government I still haven't received a cheque because of how poorly he did my taxes. I would NEVER recommend getting your taxes done here... pay the 50 dollars it's not worth the hassle! Get someone who knows what they're doing to do your taxes!
