Poor state of affairs.... I ordered in March and I am still waiting. Communication is poor to non existent.It was explained some months back that they had to return some of the pieces to the manufacturer due to quality issues. However I received an email on 5th Sept saying it was now on the way but ass that was 4 weeks ago now I really don't know if it will ever arrive (air mail). I have emailed back but of course no reply... Don't risk it folks, buy elsewhere.

Does anyone know if this place is still in business? In March 2019, I purchased some silver cap buttons an expansion straps, but never received my order. My emails would bounce back and the website was disabled. What a ripoff and disappointment!

Updated Sept. 4th 2018 After seven months of waiting I finally received the cap I ordered in January. I am shocked that I waited for so long for such an inferior product. My experience with Muir Cap & Regalia had been so unfortunate I've had to make multiple categories within this review. Shipping The box arrived at my doorstep crushed with the tape partially open. There were no markings on the box that the item was fragile or delicate so I am inclined to blame Muir Cap and not the freight co. The only packaging used inside the box was a single piece of crumpled paper. Quality The hat itself is in poor condition in part I imagine because of the bad packing job but also due to poor manufacturing and the use of low quality materials. Here is a list of the cap's flaws. - The brim is noticeably bent. You can see the bend in the reflective bit. -The seam in the back does not line up and there are other parts where the seam branches. I make my own leather gear so I know the difference between a good seam and a poorly connected one. -The front of the crown seems to be either lopsided or sewn off-center. - The foam inside the hat has slipped out of place and is flopping around inside the lining. - The leather is not the high quality I was promised, especially when compared to other similar style caps from competitors. I have a hat that was made in China that I paid the same amount for which is far, far better quality in material and craftsmanship than this one. Service Muir Cap & Regalia has been immensely difficult to get in touch with. TheyThey no working phone and do not respond to emails in a timely fashion. I never recieved any direct answers to my questions. I used to run a vintage clothing and leather shop and I know that it's not easy running a company. But I also know the importance of having a good relationship and clear communication with customers. If this cap was a high quality product as promised, I would be more understanding. But this is not a high quality product. I'm deeply dissapointed with this "union made" Canadian product. I strongly advise against spending your money with this company. I am waiting to hear back from the company about a refund. ****************** Original review I understand these are handmade products produced by a small company, but it has been months and I haven't recieved any details about when I can expect my cap. I get that quality work takes time, but at least be communicative with your customers in the meantime and don't just promise to get back to them without actually doing so. Perhaps in-person service is better, but I don't think these folks are ready for e-commerce. Very disappointed.

I was very excited to receive my Muir Cap today. I ordered extra expansion straps and buttons to give it some flare. Fit exactly as I had hoped. Shipped all the way to Italy. I highly recommend. The quality is fabulous. Thank you Muir

Don’t order! I can’t even say if they are in business. My emails have been returned (mailbox full), and all phone messages have gone unanswered. They charged but never shipped the product. I ultimately had to contest the charges with the bank. BEWARE!

Ordered last minute for an event, and called the company to ask if they could expedite. I was super lucky as they were able to fit mine in with the in house orders. The lady I spoke with was very understanding and gracious (I don't know her name sorry) but I was able to get my hat rushed which was important. Great quality. My leather was like butter, I would probably order the silver peak next time.

My experience with Muir Cap & Regalia has been exemplary. It's a shame that there's a couple poor reviews here that are dragging their overall rating down, because not only do they provide a fantastic and thoughtfully-crafted product, but their customer service goes above and beyond to provide satisfaction. These guys do not do cheaply-crafted products so there was a bit of time involved with my order. But my patience was rewarded with a beautiful cap. This isn't a huge corporation churning out mass-made products. It's a well-loved, traditional company that is dedicated to delivering excellent work held to the highest standards. I don't think you can go wrong by ordering from Muir Cap & Regalia, as long as you understand you're doing business with skilled craftsman and not placing a quick order on Amazon.

Ordered ribbons in Jan 2022. Gave my credit card info as required. Got the ribbons. WAS CHARGED 4 TIMES on 4 separate dates, none of which matched the sales orders. Almost $4000!! Frank acknowledged the error but it’s been weeks and weeks of fighting to get a refund. Disputed the charge with the credit card company and got my money back. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Be warned. Unscrupulous business. What a shame.
