Eric McLean – Founder, President

With expert attention to detail and unparalleled work ethic, Eric has over 35 years of experience as a fully certified electrician. He has achieved the highest level of proficiency in the electrical industry, holding both a Master Electrical Certification and a Professional Electrical Contractor (PEC) status through the Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA).

Founding MPN in 2002, Eric has grown MPN Electrical into one of Alberta’s most well respected electrical companies for oilfield, multi-family residential, commercial, industrial and construction sectors. His industry knowledge and integrity, strong entrepreneurial instinct and ability to mentor, has supported MPN through all aspects of growth.

Eric has worked with some of Canada’s largest energy and construction companies including Husky and Saipem. His talent has even found him working abroad in Kobe, Japan following a devastating earthquake.

Matthew McLean – VP, Operations

Matthew brings both a strong educational and practical background to MPN. He studied engineering at Simon Fraser University and Math at McGill, before working in the architecture and construction industries in Montreal. He brings a well-rounded perspective and his shared McLean values to his role as Vice President of Operations.

Matthew is responsible for overseeing site operations, estimating, reviewing quotes and managing clients. His continued support and strong connections have helped propel MPN into a major player in Calgary, finding work in numerous industries including the booming Alberta oil and gas sector.

Christine McLean – CFO

MPN’s matriarch and rock, Christine has effectively managed all aspects of business for over 20 years. She brings a high level of integrity and industry experiences to the management team including an unparalleled ability to problem solve and seamlessly transition between important projects.

The explosive growth of MPN over the past years into the oil and gas industry has meant an expanded role as CFO. Christine controls all financial activities and oversees business related to Human Resources, Accounts Payable & Receivables, all while maintaining strong client relationships.

Saul Morrison – Construction Manager (CM)

Saul was MPN’s first employee, joining Eric in 2004. He has learned from the best and is proficient in all areas of electrical work. His formal education includes graduating at the top of his class from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s Polytechnic Electrician program and numerous safety courses and certifications including the Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE)™ from The Alberta Construction Safety Association.
Saul’s greatest strengths are in his high-level organization skills. He is well known at MPN as the one to go to if you have a question about any project underway. Respected by everyone on-site for his work ethic and approachability, Saul is also an integral part in the MPN office as well, working with Matthew on estimates and proposals.

Catherine Reyno – Assistant Controller

Joining the team in 2011, Catherine came to MPN after completing her degree in Management, majoring in Finance from University of Lethbridge. She also has a diploma in Business Administration and is certified by the Investment Funds In Canada (IFIC). Her strong business sense and background in the banking and customer service industry made her the ideal person to come on board with MPN’s rapid growth.

Catherine assists with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Account Management, and writes all internal process documents, ensuring that controls are in place and things continue to run smoothly at the head office.

Judith Pringle – HR Manager

Managing all human resources functions is Judith Pringle. Originally from the UK, Judith began her career as a Registered Nurse, graduating from the University of Nottingham. The experience and achievements that followed have found her travelling around the world, and acting as a Business Manager, Executive Director and even the owner of a home repair and painting company.

Judith joined MPN in 2013 and is responsible for all hiring and payroll, along with a host of other business management functions including permits, completions, internal policies and procedures, and financial management. She is organized, detailed and will not rest until a task has been completed to excellence. Judith has been a long-time friend of the McLean family and is perfect fit with the MPN team.
