About Move to Move: Rehabilitation Clinic & Movement Studio

I graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with the Distinction of Clinic Honours, only to continue on and complete a prestigious Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Sport Sciences. I am also a Kinesiology graduate from the University of Calgary, a Certified Clinical Acupuncture provider and an Instructor for Functional Range Systems (FRS).

Over the past decade, I have come to the understanding that the human body is a dynamic system that is ever changing and it requires an individualized approach for both human optimization and injury recovery. I believe that in order to create and facilitate this approach an assessment resulting in an accurate diagnosis is paramount. Once the area of concern has been identified, optimized therapeutic interventions can be applied to create change.

During my years as a Movement Therapist, it has been my experience that patients often seek therapy because they are in pain, but we have to remember that pain is a symptom and not the problem. Movement optimization for the individual will often be the catalyst for improving function and ultimately decreasing pain.

My typical treatment paradigm is as follows:

Assess -> Diagnose -> Determine Individual Goals -> Promote Healthy Movement

In order to accomplish this model, I create a highly interactive environment where therapeutic interventions (i.e. soft tissue work, dry needling, and joint manipulation) are tools used to facilitate an environment where exercise can be the stimulant for lasting change.

To compliment my chiropractic practice, I am a certified Functional Range System Instructor. I teach group KINSTRETCH and Internal Strength classes for individuals looking to improve strength and mobility.

This review is long overdue. I have been working with Bonar at Move to Move for about a year now. He is the best movement teacher out there. He is patient and really knows how to work with your limitations but still push you a little out of your comfort zone. My body and my mind has made so much progress in the last year- I am very grateful :-) Also Inka, their in-house osteopath- is literally a godsent. She is extremely intuitive, trauma-informed, and overall a gem of a human being.

I have a lot of good things to say about Move to Move. Everyone I have interacted with is friendly and welcoming. For massage, Sam is great. She's very attentive and effective. I have also taken Kinstretch classes, which I found helpful.

Carlie was awesome today! She assessed me thoroughly, explained what was going on with my injury gave me treatment and finished off showing my some stretches to improve my injury. I felt I got the proper care and attention I need to get better :) Great welcoming from the front desk when I got there as well as it was my first time at the clinic.

Carlie is the best Physiotherapist I have ever had. I went to see her with sever hip pain due to arthritis and physical activity and she has improved my functioning to the point of zero pain! Between her therapy, my exercises and IMS, I feel like a brand new person. I just can't believe that I don't have to be in pain or take medication to function day to day! I am able to do most of the physical activities I was doing before and I am optimistic that I will be fully active by the aummer. Thank-you Carlie, you are seriously the best!!!

My first visit to Move to Move was today, a massage with Sam March. I've had many sports and injury therapy massages over the years and Sam's treatment was in the top tier. I'll be back for more treatment from Sam. Following my treatment we did a tour of the facility. The clinic is centrally located, has free parking, is clean, tidy and bright - what else could you ask for? They also do direct billiing to my insurance - amazing. On the way out I spoke with Leah (co-owner) about their classes and treatment options. Leah's is a physiotherapist and she had great advice on treating some injuries I have and for creating a sports training and treatment plan.

My first time in move to move. The lady in reception she's great. And Mr.Jarret ( a therapist) is a great guy and definitely knows what he is doing. He listened to clients what they really wants and need to be done. They are all friendly, with genuine happy face. Over all a great place to visit for your body pains needs. I will be back that's for sure. ?????

Started here for Physio with Carly, who was great, and now am a semi regular participant in both movement and kinstretch classes. Overall, great atmosphere, staff, and members. I really enjoy the unique training methods, all targeted to keep your body mobile. There's strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility in a sometimes playful setting and always with multiple progressions from beginner through expert.

My entire experience from booking to follow-up has been fantastic with Move to Move and Karyn Robb! I came to her to rehab a re-occurring sprained ankle and have had history of injuries and she was incredibly thorough. She is knowledgeable and came to some possible conclusions that other physio’s hadn’t. I have only had one appointment so far but I am feeling incredibly hopeful and supported. The exercises she suggested are appropriate and she did a fantastic job explaining the reasoning behind them. My follow up email was the most thorough I’ve ever received from a physio. I would 100% recommend Move to Move and Karyn Robb!
