i enjoyed working there was a good enviroment everyone was friendly
but during my last week there i was approached by one of my managers and after a little talk we agreed that i would be done friday as they didnt want to work into christmas i guess some people were being laid off the following wednesday so i thought i was being laid off aswell i finished my week like we agreed and i went on my way a few weeks later they issued my roe saying i quit even tho i absolutly did not quit so now my ei has been halted(i am a seasonal worker and rely on ei during the winter month when everything is slow) i can honestly say i didnt think it was possible for a employer to convince you to quit without you knowing it heres to hoping ei figures this out and corrects mountain viewer growers mistake and if they dont i hope anyone else who does seasonal work for them is careful so they dont get screwed out of their hours

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They messed with my ei too. The main supervisor approached me just a few days before layoff and talked me into being done. I was under the impression I was being layed off because I didn't think he would ask me to quit and like I said, this was just a few days before the work was finished. I thought they made a mistake saying I quit but when asked about it they said there was no mistake; they said the supervisor told them I quit and obviously they believed him over me. The supervisor seemed really nice but that was a shady thing to do. I'm confused about why he would want people to quit a few days before layoff.
