My wife and I went white water rafting with Mountain High Adventures on July 12th. We had a fantastic time. The guides (Mark and Josh) ensured everyone had a safe and fun time. The trip was on the Elk river. Lots of white water with fantastic scenery. If we are in the Fernie area again, we would definitely do another trip with this company.

Mark and the crew were first class hosts to my wife and I and our three daughters. The all-day canyon run was loads of fun, and Mark's enthusiasm and knowledge of the area made it even more interesting. The lunch break was fantastic! Great crew and a great day out with the family. Highly recommended.

an amazing rafting experience. Mark and the crew were very cool and friendly. The path contained many rapids including 3 class fours, swimming spots and cliff jumping. We recommend the more advanced wild water mammoth rafting option which includes an agile and less crowded boat.

We had the pleasure of rafting the Elk river with Samir. He was a wonderful guide, he made us feel safe and we had a blast with him, he's very talented on the oars. The whole operation was very professional and we were very impressed

Great guide (Nick) for a family rafting trip! Would have appreciated a heads up about the steep climb down to the river either on the bus or at the yurt (HQ). Had to wait a long time for elderly participants to make it down. Lots of fun. Lots of adrenaline (1 if our party bailed but guides were quick to get him back in the boat). Long trip, great rapids, great value. 100% would book again.

our family of 5 had an AMAZING time on the river with Mountain High Adventures. Very safety oriented and professional. Our guide Nick ensured that we had so much fun, plus he provided lots of information and stories about the area and the river. The trip included swimming, cliff jumping and a rodeo! The only comment is the food provided was not substantial and I would not consider it a lunch, more like a snack. I will definitely be back to do this adventure again! I would highly recommend it for experienced and novice rafters. Thanks Nick!

I can't say worse things about the integrity and poor knowledge of this company's staff. DO NOT TRUST THEIR ADVICE if you want to make it down that river in one piece, let alone alive! My aunt, uncle, their two kids (older teen and one in her 20s) and significant others wanted to take kayaks down the river. The staff said their were no kayaks for rent, so advised them to take canoes down the river as beginners. They were assured multiple times by staff, the staff knew they were beginners, and so my aunt trusted their advice and they all set out. It resulted in 2 of their 3 canoes dangerously flipping due to fast currents, causing my aunt and uncle to end up in a near drowning experience as they were submerged under their canoe. One of their daughters went into a panic attack as she was thrown out of her canoe and started floating solo down the river. The significant other in that canoe fractured his leg (confirmed at hospital) during its flip. Thankfully two experienced locals nearby were able to assist in getting them all safely out of the water and were shocked anyone would ever suggest beginners take canoes on that river. My aunt called an ambulance for the significant other and their broken leg, but were advised it could take up to 12 hours for an ambulance to reach them! We had other extended family within an hour away so they were able to get a ride to hospital that way, (most members of flipped canoes had cuts and bruises, one sprained foot/toe and the fractured leg). If they had had worse injuries I am sickened by what could have happened. Since they took the canoes only because they were under advisement from this company and they only used 1 hour of their multi-hour paid time, my aunt requested their money back after the traumatic near-drowning and fractured leg experience. She was told by front desk "Welp, you signed the waiver so no." with no care or sympathy our apology for what their staff advised. Later the owner called her and confirmed that due to their signed waiver they were "not inclined" to give them back any money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Find a more reputable company that actually cares if their clients make it out of the river alive and provides actual training for their staff. There are plenty others in the area. Don't risk it here.

We had the pleasure of doing the Mammoth Rafting on the Elk with Samir. We had the most exceptional day and I was so impressed with everything from the gear to the lunch spot to the overall experience. Mountain Highs guides are highly trained and very knowledgeable. Look no further if you are looking for a great way to experience the river, these guys really deliver!
