Surgery Experience was as comforting as it could be for surgery. Dr Evan the Anesthesiologist was patient, answered questions and was good at what he did. I felt in capable hands the entire time. Nurses Cathy, Janet and Mary helped me while I was there and I Remember their names because I felt like I mattered and that they wanted to be sure I wasn't afraid or uncomfortable. The facilities were state of the art and clean. I just felt so safe. The only nurses I can't remember her names were in the OR. She held my hand when I was afraid. Talked to me and both made sure I knew they would be ok. I am seriously in tears now because even through all the stress and burn out of a pandemic they showed so much compassion. I woke up from surgery and immediately had a cold cloth for my lips (dental surgery) and water. The nurse offered pain support and was very considerate. Thank you Janet. I didn't feel rushed out the door and they let me work at my own pace to wake up and tell them when I was ready to go home. I just have no words except gratitude. I hope they read this and I pray that they are blessed with the caring they showed me. Thank you Dr K Lee for the work done on my teeth and the resident doctors who supported me in my transition to a healthy smile for my heart. I am a high risk patient but I don't feel like I was in any risk at all in their care. If you have surgery there don't worry you are in good hands.

My mother was treated with the best care I have ever experienced in a hospital in our city. She is 90 years old and was taken in Tuesday AM by ambulance. She is on the mend and doing exceptionally well. The follow up that day by the Doctors on the floor were awesome. Even a call the following evening by the one female doctor checking on her was something you rarely get!

My wife delivered her baby here a few days ago. Every single staff member was excellent. The nurses were understanding, compassionate and attentive. The only downside of the experience was that they were quite unorganized. They didn't have updated information about our baby's latest diagnosis, and getting an epidural took a long time because of miscommunications between staff members. Overall a pleasant experience. The nurses deserve a round of applause.

My wife was admitted with Triage and Labour & Delivery team (Mount Sinai) for a week and the experience was excellent. Dr. Abbasi and her team of nurses (Vonny, Savannah and others) went over and above their duty all the time and gave my wife the best care, that you can think of. I was always thankful for the work medical staff does, but this was our first hand experience and it couldn’t have gone better. All the strength to them to continue serving people!

Dr. Erin Kennedy and her team are amazing. I was referred to Toronto from Welland as I had a severe case of Ulcerative Colitis. My surgeon in Welland was not confident in the level of care he could provide so I was transferred to this hospital. They are great to deal with, professional, compassionate and always get back to me in a good time. I just underwent surgery there & will be going back for my final surgery soon & I can honestly say I don’t have any anxiety about the surgery or the aftermath. The nurse staff are also very pleasant & made me feel comfortable. They never made me feel like a burden asking for things/help. I’m thankful to have been referred to this great hospital and I don’t mind the hour and half drive if it means I’m getting such a high level of care

Delivered there April 21 - nurses & doctors were very nice & professional. Rooms are nice as well. Overall a pretty good experience. Big disappointment not to be listened to for birth position, they would not let me try squatting even though indisputably natural and safe, I had to insist and insist and insist until they gave in and from there birth came smooth, fast and easy. In this day and age to be pressured to birth on our backs and not listened to when requesting safe, instinctive and reasonable alternatives is not acceptable anymore. Doctor & Nurse had never done a squatting birth before (even though all the beds come with a squat bar, that’s to say it’s really supposedly nothing unusual!) which is why they were reluctant to let me do it, they were otherwise nice and it sounds that the issue lies with training.

My husband and I had our baby girl delivered in Mount Sinai Hospital in October of 2020. The entire experience was amazing! Both the nurses and the doctors are professional, caring and supportive. Our stay after delivery went very smoothly. All medical personnel were always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Although we brought everything for our newborn, Mount Sinai provided a lot of supplies for our baby. We went home happy and fully satisfied with the entire experience.
