Takes about 20-25 min to get to the top (via trail or walking the road to the upper parking lot) from the lower parking lot (lower lot has about 25 parking spots….can get busy mid afternoon on a nice day). There’s a lookout right at the upper parking lot (for those with mobility challenges). A higher look-out can be easily accessed from the upper parking lot via a good trail. Gate to get to the upper parking lot opens at noon so plan accordingly! Dog and I went up the “black diamond” South Ridge trail which was a work-out but not impossible if you are fit and have good shoes. We came back down the road to the lower parking lot. We’ll worth a visit!
.	..Clark .. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very easy hike up to the summit of Mt Douglas. Parking is fairly slim in the parking lot so either you get there early or you get a bit lucky. Easy option is to take the road to the top. But the trails to the top are relatively easy. There was a black diamond marked trail on the way up but it was fairly easy to navigate. If you’re a beginner, just take your time. Lots of places to rest on the way up. Hike to the top, (to both the south summit and the main summit) and back to my vehicle was around 50 minutes. Beautiful 360 degree views.
