As a wheelchair user for over 25 years I have dealt with a number of Calgary mobility dealers. I am so glad Motion is here in our city to provide the equipment and most importantly the SERVICE a guy can depend on as a busy, working, professional with a physical disability who uses a power wheelchair to get around. I bought a new power wheelchair from Motion in the Fall of 2019 and while it took a bit to dial in the wheelchair to my unique needs, Motion's talented & caring service tech Randy has it set up perfectly for me now and I couldn't be happier with my new chair!

This company's location has an horrendous sales team. Really had an exceptionally hard time to even get a salesperson to call me. They are supposedly currently looking into a scooter that they are an agent for. They know nothing about the company or even that they are an agent for it! Not holding my breath to get any satisfactory answer from them, for sure!

Parts all here on time as promised. Work went well and was done on time. I leave happy with my service coordinator " J" and the technician "R" that did the work on my chair .

As much as I hate to pile on with the negative reviews, I wanted to share my experience. I needed assistance in preparing for an upcoming hip replacement. I had decided to rent a walker and was supplied a unit in desperate need of repair. The tires were badly cracked and I was told that replacements had been ordered and that I'd receive a call when they arrived and I could come back in to have them replaced. Given that I can't drive for 6 weeks, that's no help! I found staff to lack knowledge about medical aids and the receptionist was more interested in her personal call then acknowledging a customer's arrival so I waited longer than my patience would normally tolerate. Selection and prices for the items that I required was not competitive with what I found through Amazon. The exact same raised toilet seat was more than $20 different, and that includes home delivery. I don't mind paying more for knowledge and expertise, but there was none. Sadly, the raised toilet seat that I was sold has dented from my main toilet seat sitting on it. Had there been a choice of products, I would have bought something more robust - this was the only unit offered, but I've since learned that the manufacturer has a line of seats that range in performance. It would seem that the showroom is closed due to COVID, so perhaps there is greater selection under normal circumstances. I have given a second star for the fact that they took the walker back the next day without question - I realized that I didn't feel safe learning how to walk again with a walker in that condition.

100%! I called 10min ahead to ask if they could fix a flat tire on my wheelchair but only got an answering machine. I dropped in shortly after and they were incredibly accommodating. I had to wait as there was a customer getting her chair fixed but I didn't mind spending an hour there compared to waiting days which was the expected repair time at another place. Randy was phenomenal and went above and beyond. I feel the staff are working extra hard to bring up their online ratings. I definitely don't mind helping them as they more than deserve it.

Posting on behalf of Donna Wiebe who could not access site to send review: I have dealt with the Calgary location of the Motion Specialties for over 12 years now. Prior to that, I successfully dealt with the Red Dear location. I have encountered some very knowledgeable people that have worked diligently d to meet my mobility needs. I am a wheelchair user, a quadriplegic who drives my wheelchair with a combination of a head array and sip & puff systems that Motion Specialties developed for me and has worked hard at maintaining to keep me moving. Randy, service technician extraordinaire, is very talented and he understands wheelchairs. He has done some outstanding work to keep me mobile and independent for quite a number of years. With Josie as the scheduler in the service department, getting repairs done quickly is usually what happens. Erin , my sales representative, put in lots of effort to get just what I needed when I was ordering my new wheelchair. I really appreciate the staff and management at Motion Specialties. Many thanks to Kevin at Motion. I was flying into Calgary for a few days and staying at the best Western nearby. Because it was so close to the shop Kevin waived the delivery fee for me and the pick up fee. I was so grateful for the care and attention. The wheelchair was waiting for me when I arrived at the hotel and I left it there for pick up on Monday. So reliable. Many thanks for making my time in Calgary so much better.
