Motio Massage Therapy Is a fully certified and Registered Massage Therapy Studio. We focus our practice on Mobile Massage, Assessment & Treatment, and spa therapy services. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome all walks of life.

We offer four levels of massage therapy service.

Basic Treatment is a focused or unfocused treatment ideal for the assessment and treatment of a particular area.

Enhanced Treatments Are full-body head-to-toe massages that would include hot towels, aromatherapy, and the client's choice of either hot stone massage, body polish or body mask included in your treatment.

Spa Therapies

Motio Massage Therapy's Signature Massage Treatments include services such as facial massage treatment, body wraps, and body masks. We have three signature services you can choose from.

The Revival Treatment

Which is a full-body head-to-toe massage treatment with essential oils, hot towels and a back facial. Read the Benefits here

The Resting facial Treatment

includes upper body massage 5 step facial including cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, hydrating and toning.

The Relax Treatment

Full body massage including heating cacoon, full-body exfoliating, body mask deep hydrating moisturizers and heated cacoon.

Mobile Massage

mobile massage is ideal for individuals or groups and we will travel up to 45 minutes outside Winnipeg for mobile massages Why go to a studio? when you can be comfy in your own home, it includes full body massage hot towels and aromatherapy. Some enhancements can be added to these treatments such as the body polish or we can also add partial body masks to the service.

History

Motio massage was created back in 2014 by Jordan Schimnowski but has been in practice since 2012. We started our practice completely mobile, going to clients' homes. We started from a single Kijiji ad which gave Motio's first three clients.

We worked for high-end luxury spas, physiotherapy clinics, laser clinics, massage franchises and even hair salons. until we opened our first treatment room in a tiny 7X9 Room. we quickly outgrew this room and moved into a larger space on the upper floor of a hair salon in st vital.

we moved on from this space and became part of the incubator program of the downtown Winnipeg biz where we opened our first retail space that had a storefront where we stayed till 2021. Unfortunately, this location failed due to covid. we reevaluated and restructured our business to work in rural Manitoba and reinstated our building blocks in mobile massage therapy to Winnipeggers.

Training and certifications

we Graduated from Wellington college of remedial massage therapy in 2012 with 2550 hours of practical and theoretical training. in the sciences of physiology, anatomy, orthopedic treatment and assessment, kinesiology, and pathology and pathophysiology.

Over the years as we grew we focused our knowledge on many modalities, working alongside, physios, chiros, reflexologists, personal trainers and doctors.

Some active Modalities that have created our toolbox of knowledge are massage techniques such as rib mobilization, spa therapies including body wraps, masks and facial treatments, TMJ massage, Soft tissue release, hydrotherapy, and thalassotherapy, taping, Indian head massage, aromatherapy, applied reflexology, hot stone massage. sports massage and clinical aromatherapy.

We are also product designers and can customize personal care products such as body, butter, masks, body polishes, essential oil diffuser blends, therapeutic aromatherapy blends, and essential soaks. All our products are for aromatic and topical use.
