A beautiful Park and amazing landscaping with many wow and wow. Blue sky, shining and green ground, excessive attractions and easy excess for public transport. If you are going to drive with your family and kids, hassle free parking makes your visit more beautiful. Hiking route to the Chalet de Montréal in Parc Montréal starts here too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really good spot for the summer picnic ?, music and food available during summer times. If you want to rest on the grass for a little while and watch the seagulls steal food it’s very relaxing. Bring your sunscreen ? though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A classic spot for students and Montrealers to gather around and have picnics, catch up and create memories. Specifically around the first week of May to the last week of September, there is the free Tam-Tam Festival which takes place every Sunday. To me this screams Montreal art -- it is where drummers, dancers, vendors, people of all ages/races and cultures unite and become one with the art of Montreal. Many times I have cried in disbelief that as a community, no matter societal differences -- we become one together. It is a MUST attraction, and a great way to let loose!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On Sunday evening people gather here to drum and chill. I read about this earlier, but we stumbled on it completely by accident, just by following the drumming sounds that you could hear from afar. Was pretty fun to stay for a bit, listen to the bits, observe the people, dance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is more than a place, or a monument in display. It is idealism. In the front there is the founding member of Canada Sir George-Étienne Cartier, with four other sculptures that represented four signing provinces Nova Scotia, New Brunswick , Ontario and Quebec. On the north side, the sculpture design represented the concept of legislation, and in the south side the design represented the concept of education. In the back side, the sculpture design amplified the concept of idealism of Canada. Furthermore, the monument is topped with the winged version of Sculpture of Liberty, a different version as compared to the one seen in New York City. The Lions represented power and protection, the connection to the Queen. In total, there are 18 sculptures in the monument. The spirit it represents is making this a place for the folks and people, especially in summer. It is a gathering place for musicians, artists and activists.

This free festival takes place on Sundays, near the monument to Sir George-Étienne Cartier and in Mount Royal Park's surrounding green spaces. A colorful gathering of drummers, dancers, vendors, and their admiring audiences.
