I contacted MNP and avoided the phone calls I kept getting about my past due bills. Andrea talked me through the paperwork and helped me as much as she could. I told her of a couple of companies that just continually called. She was amazing and called them and had all the unwanted calls stopped. We didn't have to declare bankruptcy, instead we did a consumer proposal. We felt we needed to pay these bills but not to the point where we couldn't afford to eat. It took me a long time to get through the process, but only because I have depression and would get fog brain after a bit. My consultant helped me each day until I finally got through it all. I am now done and am looking forward to the future and being debt free. I love not getting those harassing phone calls and appreciate that they are still getting paid, and I am still able to afford to live. We have even completed our first budgeting class, over the phone, and in January will be done our second budgeting class. After that, I just need to be sure the payments are made. The payments are so manageable so we know we can afford them! Life is looking up.
