This is not a bakery! It's a walk in refrigerator on the second floor of Momofuku. Nothing is baked fresh, selection is very limited, everything is packaged individually. Cereal milk soft serve is available downstairs. Baked goods are stale and expensive. Nothing like NYC.

I visited the Milk Bar with some colleagues while at the Noodle Bar downstairs. I bought a couple of cookies – the confetti cookie and cornflake marshmallow cookies. Both were overly sweet. I ate one cookie later that night but didn’t particularly enjoy it because of its excessive sweetness. I had the second one the day after but couldn’t finish it after a few bites for the same reason. I also ordered the cereal milk soft serve ice cream. Other people with me really seemed to enjoy it a lot, but it just wasn’t my thing.

Located on the second level of the Momofuku Noodle Bar restaurant, beside the Shangri-la Hotel, is the Milk Bar. The Milk Bar greets you with an aesthetic neon sign at the front of an all glass storefront. Inside you could find a variety of sweet treats such as pies, cakes, and truffles. if weeding is your thing there are also a variety of books there for you to choose. I bought the Crack Pie, the chocolate malt truffle, and the Corn Flake chocolate chip cookie with marshmallow. They are all excellent although fairly expensive. I kind of like the design of the place as well as a freedom to pick and choose as you please without harassment. After choosing your item you can either directly pay at the cash or bring it back to your table downstairs at the noodle bar and have it added to your bill. Note of caution: these treats are quite expensive so be prepared to spend a little bit of money. if ice cream is your thing I would actually recommend a soft serve ice cream with cornflake sprinkles. It tastes like malted milk, so if you've ever had maltesers or horlicks then you have an idea how this would taste.

They sell the most coveted birthday cake in the game ?. Not only is it super moist from the birthday-cake-soak, but the salty cookie dough bites really cut the sweetness. While Milkbar itself is just a small refrigerated section located on the 2nd floor of Momofuku Toronto, it is set up really cutely. The interior looks like a mini grocery store, shopping baskets and all, where you can pick out all the goodies you want. Also, the cakes are shipped the same day from Brooklyn ?. However, the 6-inch cake does come with a heavy price tag. So if you're not about spending $71 (after tax) for it, you can make it! After the dinner at the noodle bar, we ordered the milk bar pie (a.k.a crack pie) and birthday cake to go to see what the hype is all about. I have to say that I'm really disappointed by the them. The milk bar pie was alright but definitely not as impressive as expected. As for the birthday cake, I'd prefer a cake from a grocery store than this one. The cake is way too sweet that you can taste the grain of sugar in the icing. I do not recommend anyone from trying this......

First of all - location is quite hidden - you should enter Momofuku restaurant and from there take stairs to Milk bar. Now - if you think it's a proper bar - it's not. It's pretty much just a freezer. Freezer with cookies, crack pie, cookie dough, couple of bottles of cereal milk and cook books. In a freezer. Cook books. Aren't they going to fill up with moisture? Anyway - cookies are delicious! Compost cookie... Don't be alarmed with the name - it's one of the best. Crack pie - not so sure, although I've heard so much about it and it is the specialty of Christina Tossi. It is very very sweet, probably overly sweet. I googled the recipe after, and it's a lot of sugar and butter. Nice to try ones, but eat it all the time - too much sugar. Now - let's talk about the price. It's too high. $7 CAD for a small piece of crack pie? $3.25 per cookie? I mean - you have to like those cookies very very much to be paying that much. Yes they are tasty, but not worth paying that much on consistent basis. Overall - if you are trying to impress somebody - sure, you can come here. But I won't be coming here everyday.

The milk bar in Toronto is a self-service dessert shop. It’s just one smaller room to choose from pre-made items, snacks, pies, and cookbooks. The cookie was probably one of the better cookies I’ve tasted. Wish I could have had them warm and with and a glass of milk. The actual spot was just kinda underwhelming. I’m sure it’s because Its in between two of their solid restaurants that already serve deserts. It’s still a cool little spot to visit to get a sweet treat.

Wanted to see what it’s all about, despite the reviews. It’s pretty much a self serve walk in fridge. Nothing special and I’m sure that the one in NYC might be a better experience?? The cookies were mediocre and nothing to brag about. It was a hard on the outside with a bit of chewiness to to it as you bite in. The milk bar pie had a different texture to it, but a little on the bland side. Super expensive for what you get. You’re paying for pre-packaged food, in essence. Wouldn’t go there again and do trust the reviews of this place. It’s exactly like how people describe it.
