★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had the opportunity to walk through Miklat. It is a light, bright and airy home with lots of space. It was furnished and filled with love and compassion. I feel anyone in recovery would be well taken care of there, and they would be made to feel like they are at home. God bless those who run it and especially those who walk in the door seeking recovery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let me say that the experience I had and am having as a client at Miklat Recovery society is nothing more than a miracle.
This Facility has it all, great support staff, An amazing structured 12 step program NA and AA Related, Inner child therapy session, Cognitive therapy sessions, NA and AA area meetings in town, in a beautiful setting called Powell River.....If your looking for help with active addiction this is the place to go...I really recommend you call today...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Miklats' unique approach to addiction treatment has helped me heal in ways I couldn't possibly have in my past attempts at other residential facilities. The variety of therapies offered by their two very highly regarded therapists is second to none. The staff are helpful and experienced. The food is top notch. Miklat is truly a magical place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Miklat House is a great place to recover, the staff is excellent they really care. There are a lot of opportunities for extra curricular activities plus there is a rec center nearby with excellent facilities ( that has truly been a godsend to me during my recovery as I got back into lifting weights during my time here)
I had been to treatment once before and Miklat was FAR better then the place I went to. The staff really cares about you here rather then just showing up to work. I have had the opportunity to really connect with them and they have encouraged me...I’m growing into the person I want to be rather then the person I thought I was.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish I could bottle and give away the experience and radical life change that was gifted to me during my 3 month adventure at Miklat. When I arrived I was skeptical and doubtful, but more importantly I was desperate. It was through absolute brokenness that I began some of the most difficult work I've ever embarked upon. By the time I left to re-enter my world back home, something had changed -- I had changed. The program promises to work if we promise to work the program. I did... and it did. My life has radically changed. I am free from my many addictions and so much more. I have found a new freedom and happiness, self-seeking has slipped away. My whole attitude and outlook on life has changed. I could go on...
To my fellow recovery addicts, the staff of Miklat and so many in the Powell River community, I am deeply grateful for the role you have played in the wholeness I have received and continue to live in.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
P.S. I can count on one hand the number of 5-star reviews I have given in my life. I do not do this lightly. But in this instance I wish there were 6.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had the pleasure of going through miklat , I highly recommend this place to anyone that is struggling with addiction! The first thing I noticed is how peaceful the property and yard is , it feels like your in a retreat in the wilderness! Really helped with my recovery, along with the staff and counselors who really care about their jobs and help in whatever way they can to get the clients to be in a comfortable environment! They really go above and beyond to making miklat a safe environment! Great food and a great program as well makes miklat a top choice! I'm currently in the second stage house and it is an amazing safe environment and we have access to continue to see the counselors and be a part of the main center to help further our recovery and get back into society but also to lend a hand to the new guys that are coming in! Miklat helped me get my life back, very grateful for finding out about this place ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Miklat helped me save my life. I mean that literally. I truly feel like I've been put on the path of starting a second life. Miklat has given me that oppurtunity. Through my willingness to do the introspective work asked of me, as well as the unique counseling provided by Miklat, which I hadn't experienced before, (I've gone through two other 90 day treatment programs) I feel like I have the strongest foundation I've ever had in my life to continue walking this path of sobriety and recovery. When I came into the program I couldn't trust myself to make a decision that didn't involve drinking or using. Today, I know that isn't the life I want for myself anymore. I also greatly appreciate the staff's willingness and understanding to allow me to stay a part of the program, even though I am done my 90 days, as well as continue to take part in counseling on occasion. The counselors and staff here have changed my life and I consider all of them friends. Not just workers who are there to be paid to do a job. I wholeheartedly believe that I could call any one of them if I was struggling and they would be there to help and support me. In my opinion, that's extremely rare. I'm currently coming up on nine months clean and sober. Next stop one year, one day at a time. Thank you Miklat
