About Midwives of Medicine Hat
Midwives of Medicine Hat would like to honour and acknowledge that we operate our practice in Treaty 7 and Treaty 4 territory, traditional lands of the Siksika (Blackfoot), Kainai (Blood), Piikani (Peigan), Stoney-Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina (Sarcee) as well as the Cree, Sioux, and the Saulteaux bands of the Ojibwa peoples. We also honor and acknowledge that we are on the homelands of the Metis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely loved my midwife Ashley! She always responded to general questions or concerns that I had throughout my pregnancy and post partum. She is very knowledgable!
It was so wonderful to create a relationship through the months. When I had to go into the hospital for my non-stress test I was all anxious about seeing the nurses there who would be strangers. As I rounded the corner, there Ashley was to greet me! All anxieties vanished. Even during the labour process- when I was ready to deliver- she was calm and helped keep me calm! Whenever we have our next child I will be contacting them right away! The earlier the better :) such a wonderful experience here and I hope others get the opportunity to have Midwives of Medicine Hat as their care providers during their pregnancy :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really cannot recommend the ladies here more!! I struggled through my whole pregnancy but I don't think I would have made it through without the support of the midwives! The postpartum care was also a life saver, especially when I was struggling with breastfeeding. Always felt supported and never judged! I hope to return again when my husband and I choose to expand our family!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Fiance and I welcomed our first baby on Feb 13th. Ashley, Hilary & Emily made the experience amazing. As a first time mom not knowing what to expect they really helped me through everything during my pregnancy and my postpartum. During my pregnancy if I ever had a concern I was able to contact them 24/7. When I went into labour they stayed with me the entire time until I was settled in maternity, which was roughly 8 hours total they stayed with me. Once you get home they do home visits for the first bit so you do not have to leave your house, which was amazing. I will be definitely using these ladies again when I have baby 2!
