Hi folks, If you're looking to replace your roof please avoid this company at all costs. I paid $9000 to do a detached home in August 2014, we had builder shingles that were falling apart and decided to spend money to get our roof done properly. We paid for Certainteed landmark 240lb shingle with underlayment, ice shield and replace flashing around our brick. So this was a huge investment and roof has held up, however fast forward to 7 years later when I had to go into the attic and also had my father in-law help replace a vent between my house and the neighbours house. I find out that in the attic the guys they hired to replace my roof put a hole through the wood sheathing and just shingled over it. They didn't bother telling me that it needed to be replaced. I would have been happy to pay for the sheet if it meant that it was done right. As well when my father in-law went to replace washroom vent on one gable end of my house, there's a small over hang with shingles where he discovered that they had never removed the original shingles and left them as is. They knew that I would have never been able to see this from the road or back yard since my house is pretty close to my neighbour. Essentially I'm not sure what the hole in the sheathing will mean for me in the future but I know that any warranty from Certainteed is probably null and void since the roof was not installed properly. I've tried calling and emailing the company about 3 or 4 times already since November 2021, left messages and no one has the decency to call me back to even discuss this. You would think that a company that prides themselves on being a certainteed certified installer would stand by their work. I don't want much but I just would have liked to have received what I paid for and was willing to have a civil conversation with regards to my roof issues. I have tried to be decent but they've left me no choice but to start posting my bad experience and I'm sure there are more unhappy customers out there. I do plan on getting my ladder and taking pictures to post on here as soon as weather permits.
