About Mid-West Arts Council
Since 1992, the Mid-West Arts Council has supported the pursuit and development of the creative arts in the rural municipalities of Blanshard, Hamiota, Miniota and Woodworth. With municipal amalgamation, MWAC currently serves the Hamiota Municipality, RM of Oakview, southern portion of Prairie View Municipality (including Miniota and area), and eastern portion of Wallace-Woodworth (including Kenton and Harding areas.)Our Mission
To promote the growth of the creative arts through the involvement of the community. Bringing new experiences to the area and exhibiting local artists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended the Midwest travelling art show last week. It was a lovely display of local artists paintings. They also served a delicious afternoon tea. We were introduced to the local art club. Apparently they feature new artist displays every month throughout the year. It is held in an old bank building turned into an art gallery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place! The council makes art classes so affordable. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. The building is beautiful. The only downside is that there are a lot of stairs; however, there is main floor access as well.
