Fantastic program !! I have now started one small business, self-employed job for myself .... which will enable me to build the larger business that I originally dreamed of !! Thanks to Deb and Nancy, and all the Micro-Biz Staff !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, I was a student of MicroBusiness Training a few years back and at the time they were helpful and supportive. I was always told because I graduated the program that I would have access to the tools that they provide to help me in the future. I even have a certificate from Micro saying that I graduated. Today I was told by Deb that I didn't pass and that they would not give me any assistance with getting a spreadsheet to do financials for helping my brother put together a business plan. If I could offer any advice these people are only out to line their own pockets with government grant money. If you take the time to do research on opening a small business and check into the details you will find that their program is ultimately useless.

This company offers a FREE program to persons who are currently on EI or have recently claimed EI. I attended an information session (I think they have one every week?) and was very impressed by the very in-depth program for new entrepreneurs and start-ups. Hiring a consultant to do the same would be crazy expensive! They mentioned some very successful local businesses Microbusiness has helped launch. There is a time commitment but defintely worth checking out if you want to start your own business & need guidance. Deborah, the owner, followed up with me by phone after the session and already passed on some very insightful and helpful advice. Thanks!
