I was quoted $2,000 for a simple notice of reader engagement without any book keeping required to be completed. I was baffled when the final bill was $3,000. Michael Wilde replied that this was his standard fee and I was on the low end of their client list. I'm really unhappy that their extra fees were not properly communicated to me during the engagement, especially when small businesses are struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The increased billing from the quoted price is not acceptable.

One would expect a firm such as Michael Wilde to maintain a high level of professional standard when charging exorbitant fees, which is certainly not the case here. I discovered that I missed out on a $2,000 refund because Michael Wilde incorrectly filed my return. The books and records were provided and all they had to do was simply copy the numbers into the return. It’s mind boggling how they messed up when they are designated CPAs. I paid over $500 for a personal tax return when the H&R Block down the street would have done a similar job for only $120. I later received a surprise bill of $200 for 10 minutes of tax planning provided by the firm. I’m glad that I left. I found another accountant who does a better job for less money.

I would recommend Collin and the Michael Wilde Team for both personal & corporate tax services. Collin is knowledgeable, has integrity and is super easy to communicate with. You can tell he actually cares and wants to help. I have had a few accountants over the years and Collin definitely is a great find.
