He uses different approaches to teach students with different levels and abilities. He cares about his students and has been very positive and encouraging. He not only teaches his students how to play the music, but also guides his students to understand the music on a deeper level. More importantly, he sees his students as unique individuals, tries to discover their full potential and help them to overcome the difficulties and he will celebrate every single achievement that they make.

Communication was easy and effective, even with virtual classes during Covid-19. Michael helped to improve my piano playing in both technique and musicality and is also a very good theory teacher.

My younger brother and I have both worked with Michael for many years, and I can confidently say that his invaluable guidance and personalized teaching methods are what molded us into such successful, passionate pianists and dedicated musicians. Would most definitely recommend to anyone looking for a piano/theory teacher, regardless of age or experience level.
