This school is not worth it, whether you're a student or a potential teacher. Trust me. For future families who are considering this school check this LinkedIn post they recently put out. It has grammatical errors: "If your interested in our school", seriously? They don't know the difference between "your" and "you're". Granted, there can be an entire book written in detail about how deficient this school administration is run: from nepotism to hypocrisy to useless political talks and useless American bashing during staff meetings, you DO NOT want to be part of this school. Search up "Toronto Prep School" instead.

My son started at MPA at grade seven in 2015 and just completed high school in 2021. As a parent, I cannot fully express how much appreciation our family has for the school. My son grew up in Montessori schools (from junior kindergarten to grade six), so we due-diligenced thoroughly in choosing a middle/high school for him. We visited most private schools in Toronto and chose MPA. Little did we know back then that was the best decision for my son's education. Over the past six years, MPA exceeded my expectations in many aspects. I will just list two here: 1. High quality teachers. From the principal office to each classroom, MPA teachers genuinely care about their students' growth. Wayne, Deb, Ryan, Joanna, Michael, Eddie, Mark, Domnick, Sue, Abha, Adam, Bill, Vlad... too many to name. With the small class size (on average less than 10 students per class in my son's case), teachers are able to provide individualized teaching at each student's pace. During Covid, teachers not only worked extra hard to maintain academic standards but also went out of their way to keep extracurricular going strong. In fact, one of the teachers made news by adopting cutting edge technology to make online learning extra fun (kudos, Eddie!). 2. High quality students. MPA is multicultural in every sense of that word. My son's classmates come from various backgrounds including several foreign countries. Some international students' academic performance are so outstanding that they give us Canadians a run for our money. These international over-achievers' strong work ethic and academic excellence have been a strong motivator for my son to work harder and eventually got into his dream university program. "It takes a village to raise a child" - the MPA village raised great citizens for Canada and beyond.

Metro was a huge part of who I’ve become as a friend, family man and professional. You can’t quite appreciate the significance your high school really had on you until it’s many years in the rear view; the more time that passes, the bigger impact I realize it’s had. Metro gave me the space and support to be myself, learn and grow - I’m thankful for the amazing teachers and community they provided me when I needed it most.
