★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unbelievable floor refinishing job. I had painted floor boards that were 100 years old that Meistercraft was able to save and show the true wood grain. Everyone commented on how nice the floors looked. My carpenter brought his wife over to see the job and they are going to get Meistercraft to do their floors. You pay for what you get and I got more than I expected. Great job Alex

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alex and his team did an amazing job of refinishing the tired hardwood floors in a 1950’s bungalow that is my new home. I checked on the job from start to finish and great care was taken to apply their expertise in sanding, filling in cracks and holes, hand sanding the wood grates, applying the various coats, keeping the house dust free and closing up the house when they left for the day. The floors are absolutely beautiful and give the house new life. Alex was always available to communicate with and his team was very polite. I like that they use water based products. There are many options of sealers and finishes so be sure to inquire and have the look you want. Thanks for the prompt and professional job as well as giving new life to my floors!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted to move away from our dark and shiny floor and go with a white washed finish. This was a high risk transformation in our home and we did our homework. We researched both the product lines we wanted and the hard wood refinishing companies in the Kawarthas. Instead of bleach or an oil based product, we wanted a more environmentally friendly water based product in our home and selected the Bona Nordic Seal after reading many reviews. Most companies in the Kawartha's still use oil based products (traditional), which will yellow over time. Going from dark to light is not easy and requires more skill and significant sanding so as not to leave dark lines. A light finish leaves little room for error. We talked to multiple companies and were uncomfortable with the products they proposed and their level of expertise to make this happen. Once we talked to Alex of Meistercraft and reviewed his past work, we knew we had the right fit. Alex and his crew are professional, responsive, and do high quality work. There was very little dust (I was shocked). The transformation they were able to do is nothing short of AMAZING. They are "hands down" the best in the Kawarthas.

His expertise in hardwood flooring goes beyond refinishing or laying hardwood. I've always said its an art and his talent show's clearly on his Instagram page.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although Meistercraft specializes in hardwood flooring I hired them to replace the old flooring in my condo with a floating vinyl floor and am so glad I did.
The end result is absolutely beautiful. I am beyond pleased with the final look.
Alex and his team did the entire job in 2 days including removing and discarding the old flooring. I would definitely recommend Meistercraft to anyone wanting new floors !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called a local flooring company to ask about someone who could restore my great grandfather's pine floors. They said, we absolutely recommend Alex. I called Alex and luckily he was in the area that day so he came by for a quote.
My great grandfather installed these floors in the 1920's and they have seen a lot of wear and tear over the years including being painted green by a previous owner.
I told Alex my concern about some damaged and loose boards. He said it was no problem to fix and would be undetectable once the floor was done. He was right, I can't see them. It is amazing he could match a 100 year old floor.
Alex's crew were very professional, considerate and kind. They carefully refinished the floor with absolutely no mess. They worked hard and long days to get this project done.
We love the floor so much, we don't want anyone to walk on it, we just want to stare at it.
Alex was great to work with; he was professional and experienced. I appreciated his guidance in picking a natural stain. I would recommend him for sure.
Anyone who has seen this floor since Alex and his crew did it can't believe what a transformation it is. The pictures don't do it justice.
You will not regret hiring Alex and his amazing crew.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alex has done work for us previously and we were impressed with his expertise, attention to detail and quality of the end result. So we knew who to contact to replace our existing flooring and remove the glue that secured it to the concrete base.
As expected, the job entailed many hours of hand scraping, an exhausting and dusty process. Despite this, Alex and his team not only persevered with good humour, but also made every effort to contain the mess, clean up every day and upon completion of the installation, wipe down window ledges and other exposed surfaces.
We now have a beautiful new engineered oak floor that has received many compliments. As far as we are concerned, Alex is the go-to person if you are looking for a high quality restoration or installation!

After much research, we came upon Alex and his team and we are so glad that we did! Their work was impeccable, and the floors look incredible. Alex helped us choose new flooring for part of the house to complement the rest. The team worked quickly and despite all the dust that must have happened while refinishing 45 year old floors, the house was perfectly clean when they left. I would recommend Meistercraft to anyone.
