P	P on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to stop on a road trip. Quality food (a bit expensive, but what isn't these days!) in a lovely park with play equipment and a stream. Friendly service. A go-to for sure.

When the food was ready I asked for ketchup. I was given 2 packets to use for a large side of fries. When I asked for more the lady rudely said it will be 10 cents more per packet. I declined. This food is not good enough for me to come back with this standard of service
P	Peter Darian on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped in for lunch after a bike ride. The wait was really long. Then order numbers and people who came in after me were getting their food first. So after what seemed eternity my order finally came. With everyone else, the person giving the food apologized for the wait but didn't to me and I think I was the longest wait of all. When I finally faced my tired and hungry family by the river we realized that they missed out one of the kids' chicken fingers. I wasn't going to go back for another 40 minute wait - we all shared. So price was okay. Comparable to most but proportions were better. Food quality was good. I get it. We're in a pandemic and wearing a mask in a hot kitchen isn't the easiest and mistakes happen but 3 strikes here. It's a pandemic, everyone is distracted but you still have a job to do. Also Tipping on takeout on debit/credit machine isn't cool. So enjoy the tip and the chicken strips. Today you didn't earn it.

In particular the poutine, sweet potato fries and chicken tender portions were fair servings for the prices. The menu was a little bit confusing with some items listed differently in certain sections of the menu (for example: chicken tenders/chicken fingers combo). Staff was friendly and order didn't take too long to be prepared. Ice cream was amazing! Would recommend.

We wanted icecream after lunch but weren't willing to wait through the line up again.

The restaurant's picnic tables are closed, but there's plenty of space in the park. Had planned on getting a burger, but couldn't pass on the daily special, a whistle dog with door stopper (aka coin) fries.

If you pay cash you can get get free can of pop. $20 cash purchase gets you 1 can; $40 gets you 2 cans; $60 gets you 3 cans. Save the merchant money in credit/debit card fees & save yourself a bit of money too. The menu is your standard roadside stand menu, but the service is great and the food is certainly fresh. There is a wide choice of quality Chapman’s ice cream available with absolutely amazing prices & only $1 extra for a waffle cone - and the puppy cones of soft serve are free when your dog joins you for a treat. Stop & enjoy Mildmay Rotary Park & grab a bite to eat at M&R Burger Box. Washrooms are available at the park pavilion & are kept impeccably clean. Bring your water jugs on your way to the cottage & fill up with great artesian well water.
