★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The centre is closed for inside access but the walk to the observation deck is filled with information on the surrounding plant and animal life. We did see 2 cranes who called out as we watched and photographed them. They are upgrading some areas. A nice drive through scenic Alberta to get there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called about a baby owl - this was a wonderful place to deal with. I was concerned for it’s safety, they took the the time to explain to me why it might be there and how they can help if it shouldn’t. Luckily, I sent in a picture and the little owl was just fine ☺️?. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely worth visiting during their open season for the center, but even if you don't go in the information center the trail they have is beautiful, especially if you love birds!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This facility is an excellent place to take a family to get a sense of wetlands and the many bird species that thrive in them. On site, there is a very safe, spacious forest trail to enjoy. I'm very happy that his facility exists to rehabilitate injured birds and animals. This facility is deserving of all the support it can get.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little "playground" with a birdhouse lookout, birdhouse fort, and a fox den tube.
The best part is the bird hide over the river. It's a short hike away from the parking lot. We took our toddler's stroller without issue. From the view we saw many birds. Bring binoculars if you can!
The short hike is very pleasant as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last month my sister in-law booked the owls to come to nefews birthday, and what a great experience! The 2 staff members were very polite, and possessed good knowledge about the owls, which they presented in a way appropriate for the age of the audience. They also suggested coming out to walk their trails and enjoy the park, so a week later me and my 19 month old did, and found the trail to have a nice look out where we sat and enjoyed a snack. Very clean premises with out houses in parking lot too! Highly recommend stopping out one afternoon and enjoy a little nature. Good work medicine river team!
